My Take on Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo:

The worst purchase I have ever made! No, the product itself is not that bad, but I paid a ridiculous price for THAT! I don’t know what I was thinking when I purchased this.  I was in search of a dry shampoo during winters. I go to gym every day and during winters, I cannot wash my hair often because I fall sick easily. Earlier, I used to apply normal talcum powder + baking soda, but when I saw that Lush had launched a dry shampoo, I happily just went and purchased it.

The bottle comes in a flip top bottle just like the ones in which we get shampoo/shower gels. I was expecting a more talcum powder like bottle (bottle with several holes in a circle). The problem is that a lot of powder just pops on your hand in one go when you tip the bottle. It leads to product wastage 🙁 You have to be really careful and gentle, else you will end up with more product than you require. I take the powder in my palm and apply it to my hair and scalp. Let it be there for a minute or two and then brush it off with a comb/brush.  Or in a hurry, just sift my hair with hands. I must say it does absorb all the sweat and grease. The hair smells like a bunch of lemons. But my hair looks a bit limp-y and dry. Also, this product leaves white cast on the hair and you really need to brush well to remove the extra powder. I am going back to my talcum powder + baking soda routine till I find a good affordable alternative.

Pros of Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo:

  • Absorbs sweat and oil efficiently.
  • Hair smells wow! in an instant.
  • Vegan product.

Cons of Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo:

  • EXPENSIVE!
  • Product wastage because of the bottle design.
  • Leaves a white cast on hair if not brushed thoroughly.
  • Leaves hair limp-y.
