Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint Review

Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint

I am in love with Lush. Their products are actually handmade and fresh and truly organic. So far, I have liked all their products and this one is good too. They introduced this range on Christmas last year. The range is named as Snow Fairy. This lip tint is a part of the same Christmas range.

Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint Review

Product Description by Lush:
A yummy lip balm and tint for magical pink tinged lips. Have you ever wondered what Snow Fairies eat? Well that was the conundrum that was on Helen’s mind when she was inventing this lip tint. She wanted a lip tint for all the people out there that find Snow Fairy shower gel makes their Christmas. But if you want to make a lip balm to tempt shy fairies, then it needs some especially enticing yummy ingedients. So she filled this with sherbet, dried raspberries and icing sugar, and flavoured it with our lovely blend of oils from Bubblegum lip scrub (because we know a lot of little fairies who like that!). Once she’d got her fairy food sorted, it was time to decide how to soften those lips. So you have here a combination of extra virgin coconut oil, shea butter, cupuacu butter and murumuru butter to put back all that the cold weather takes out of your lips. And because we know that being out in all that snow can drain a fairy’s lips of all their colour, we put a lovely blend of pink pigments in here to give a light pink coating to your lips to stop you looking like an ice queen. With all that sweet pinkness, you will cast enchantments around all who see you.

Price:
Rs. 510 for 1 piece of 0.4 Oz.

Ingredients:
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Japan wax, Shea butter, Icing sugar, Carnauba wax, Cupuacu butter, murumuru butter, Glycerine, Dried cranberries, Citric acid, Titanium dioxide, Methylparaben.

My Experience with Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint:

The lip tint is okay. The color is great. It is pink and would suit any skin color. It smells great too and tastes a little sweet. So, people like me who have the bad habit of biting lips may simply lick it down as the fragrance and the taste, both are sweet.

The balm is not glossy which is a good thing, but it is not too moisturizing either. As I have said above, I have a habit of biting my lips, so which is why I generally need a highly moisturizing lip balm. This tint does leave a tint on the lips, thus giving them a cute color, but wearing it on the lips in the winter or to apply it to provide hydration to the lips may be a bit disappointing, but then, this is about me. I have a habit of drying out my lips. People who otherwise have moist lips may find it good, like my sister simply loved it.

It smells great, so that is another plus, but then, it is also quite expensive, so for me, it was a disappointment. Another thing is that it kind of leaves a layer on the lips. It has slightly thick texture and because of which once you apply, you feel you have something on your lips, but again, this is my feeling. My sister loved it for its different texture.

Pros of Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint:

  • Not too glossy and does not smudge.
  • Leaves a cute pink tint on the lips.
  • Moderately moisturizing.

Cons of Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint:

  • Expensive for what it offers.
  • Does not moisturize enough (applies to dry lips).
  • Smells sweet, so some may find it odd.

Rating:

3.5/5.

Will I Repurchase Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint?

No, I won’t, but I would not discourage you from buying it. If you have hydrated lips and are looking for a natural, pink tinted balm, go for it.
