Lux White Impress Whitening Body Wash

Hi lovely ladies,

Today I am going to review one of the body washes by Lux. On my visit to Thailand, I saw people obsessed with whitening, they had whitening ingredients in almost all beauty products. Anyways, I picked it up not for getting any whiter ( read fairer) but because I dint have an option that time. I have been using it for 3 weeks now, please read on to find out how it fared.

Lux White Impress Whitening Body Wash (2)

Product Description:

Exfoliates
Whitens
Moisturizes

Lux White Impress for beautiful whitening in a body wash from the skin experts. This unique formula, with triple-action-system, helps create an overall white radiant look. Exfoliation with microcrystals to gently remove dull skin to reveal a radiant look. Whitens skin with mulberry extract. Moisturizes with luscious honey to replenish your skin’s moisture.

Price/ Quantity:

20 Bhat for 100ml

Packaging:

It comes in a white curvaceous bottle with a flip top cap. The cap shuts tight thereby making the bottle travel friendly . The hole underneath is just right to take out the body wash.

My take on Lux White Impress Whitening Body Wash:

I have been using the same since past fifteen days and I am still left with less than one fourth of the body wash. Very little quantity is required to cleanse the body. It is a runny white-coloured liquid with red-coloured minute beads/granules in it. I am assuming the presence of beads is for exfoliation purpose but they are too small to be doing that. The body wash smells very fresh, I can faintly smell musk melon in it and through out the bath the rich aroma pleased my senses but the fragrance does not remain post bath. Though it cleanses the body well but there is no whitening effect as claimed. It did not leave any slippery feeling on the body, came off easily with water. Also, I could not skip my moisturiser as my skin felt dry in 1-2 hours time.

shower gel

( I had intentionally skipped applying moisturiser to test its efficacy) Used with a loofah, it lathers very well but without one, it fails to lather. All in all, it is a decent body wash but fails to deliver what it claims.

Summarizing the pros and cons,

Pros of Lux White Impress Whitening Body Wash:

1. Rich, fresh and aromatic fragrance.
2. Decently priced.
3. Small quantity is required.
4. Lathers well with a loofah
5. Travel-friendly packaging.

Cons of Lux White Impress Whitening Body Wash:

1. The exfoliating beads do not do their job.
2. It does not live upto the whitening claims.
3. Does not moisturise the skin, one needs to apply a body cream or a lotion.
4. Fragrance does not linger post bath.

Will I repurchase/ recommend Lux White Impress Whitening Body Wash ?

Nothing great about it, if you want to change the fragrance for once you may try it. I wil not repurchase as I am happy with the Loccitane Rose 4 Reins.
