I am back again today with a lovely eye cream review because as I said before- eyes are the windows to your soul! So you definitely got to make sure that they are looking pretty. Even though it is a little bit on the pricier side, this eye cream though will make your eyes pop for sure. I seriously do not know what MAC uses in their stuff but there is a reason these guys are the leaders in cosmetics and their stuff costs an arm and a kidney. Trust me, this is worth it. You can still live with one kidney, no problem!

So this eye cream (and I do not say under eye cream because you can use this on your upper eye lid area all the way to your brow bone as well as your under eye area) comes in a white plastic packaging with a black screw top lid. The product is actually much less than the packaging suggests, I only realised this when I got to the very bottom of my container and realised that there is a false bottom in it! The white plastic is actually very shimmery and shiny, so it looks really nice. All MAC stuff looks nice though, that is how they suck you in initially, just with their packaging! The inside has a protective plastic lid as well which is tricky to lift off sometimes but I’m glad it is there so that the product does not go everywhere and transfer on the lid when I travel (short or long distances) with this in my purse.

USD 35 for an extremely measly 15 ml of product. Boy those people over at Estee Lauder are super stingy.

My experience with the MAC Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Eye Cream:

Now I am not the happiest person about the price of this eye cream. But sit up and take notice when I tell you this cream delivers. There is no funny fragrance to this eye cream, not even the slightest medical ish smell. It just smells like the clouds. So pure and simple! And I have said ‘a little goes a long way’ so many times (haven’t we all) but I have never meant it as seriously as I do with this product. You need to use this eye cream so sparingly I think it can easily last you 6 months if you put makeup on every single day of those 6 months. It is just amazing! The hydrating power of this is immense, the littlest amount is all you need to have your skin feeling very very (VERY) moisturised and hydrated. It does not feel sticky after application. The texture of this eye cream is not greasy in any way either. It just melts into your skin like you have stuck your face in the clouds, literally. And if I could afford it I would possibly use this all over my face because it is just full of anti aging and skin repairing ingredients. But till that day comes, let us just get on with it.

This cream does not feel heavy like a cream. It is more like a cross between an under eye moisturiser and a gel. It is so light weight and feels like nothing on your eyes. I really do not know which ingredient does this but it does not matter if you have been crying, have woken up with very little sleep or are in kidney failure (I’m a doctor guys, one medical reference is allowed right? Haha! Oh and yeah, kidney failure causes swollen eyes) just a dab of this cream and all that puffiness disappears within seconds. I love this eye cream so much I even have my mother in law converted! I think the ‘charged water’ thing is just a gimmick though because water is just water right? But this stuff is amazing. The best thing is that my makeup feels amazing over it. My correctors, concealers and foundations just feel different when I apply them with this underneath. They behave differently throughout the day.

I do wish they could convert this formulation into selling it as a pump packaging as opposed to a jar packing just for hygiene reasons. Plus jar packing makes the ingredients lose their capacity to work as well because they get exposed to the air. But I have no complaints with this so far; it is working and doing wonders for me! And hopefully you too soon!

As much as I hate the price tag for the amount of product, I will possibly be stocking up on this stuff for a very long time! I highly, highly recommend you try this out! It works with any type of skin possible.
