Mac Acne Fighter Gel Review

Hello Lovelies,

This summer when I was struggling with my acne, scars and whatever mild skin problems that arise with having oily skin, the store owner suggested me to get this gel.

For 250 rupees, I said strict no-no and seeing the ingredients which were majorly sulphur (the pack says suffer) and benzyl peroxide, I was all the way more scared, but that man made me purchase this anyhow at a discounted price of 230 rupees and victory for him.

So, I come home and I was so scared to use this gel even though it said ph-balanced, tested and all that good stuff. I first applied it on a single pimple on my cheek to see what it does and I washed it off within 15 minutes.  The result was dry, very dry skin with a dried pimple.

So, basically with heaps of benzyl peroxide, it did nothing but dry out my skin. Thank God, I am not sensitive, else I can predict the result of this on a sensitive skin, this could even burn sensitive skin.

I took another chance and applied it on a little patch on my cheek overnight to check what it does and damn, it just dried that part so much and acne with it yes, but, this was skin damaging.

For the very fact that it cleared my acne, I would not let it sit on my skin and dry it and burn it up right.  Lesson learnt, I will never ever buy anything of this sort ever ever again howsoever much that lousy storekeeper may insist.

I am writing this review in the hope that all you lovelies who go about trying these new products from new brands, please try and research a little before buying. Never ever let the store guys persist you to buy any of these products. I am not saying go for only high-priced skin care, but I am stressing the fact that the company should be of repute and all the ingredients mentioned should be harmless.

Pros of Mac Acne Fighter Gel:

• Dries the acne real quick.
• Pretty to look at in the jar, I would keep it for decorating my shelf.
• Huge quantity.
• I will sometimes use it on my most stubborn of pimples for immediate relief only.

Cons of Mac Acne Fighter Gel:

• No list of ingredients.
• Availability.
• Authenticity of the brand and product.
• Very drying for all skin types.
• Sensitive skin ladies beware. Your skin needs extra care and extra caution.
