Here’s one more lipstick from the MAC Mineralize range for the pinky coral lovers. The shade name is “Be A Lady” and I quite like the name and the shade. My Experience with MAC Be A Lady Mineralize Rich Lipstick:

Fat, chubby, slightly longer than the regular line – MAC Mineralize range lipstick packaging comes as a refreshing change. The magnetic closure comes as an added bonus. The base has the shade name and is glossy compared to the matte lid. Sophisticated and functional, just a color coding would make storage easier as you have to remember the names and the corresponding shades otherwise.

The texture is super creamy with the goodness of 77 minerals. You do not need any lip balm beneath or on top of the lipstick as it is uber creamy and smooth enough to take care of even the most dry lips. The texture being so smooth, you have to layer this on for two to three swipes to get the true pigmentation. The fragrance is again typically MAC – vanilla which I love. It sits on the lips comfortably giving a pretty good wear time. It does not slip or move from the lips in spite of being so creamy and gel like in texture.

The only glitch I would mention here would be the creaminess which leads to grazing of the bullet during application.  The grazed bullet and the collected lip color on the body is definitely not a pretty sight. So, if you want to save your “oh-so-precious” lip color, you have to either use a lip brush or constantly keep turning the bullet while application.

With lip liner beneath, it stayed on for more than 5 hours on me. On wearing without a lip liner, the staying power will be reduced to 3 hours maximum. The texture makes the lipstick transfer to cups and cutlery, but thankfully, it does not completely disappear from the lips.  After a while, it settles as a muted shade sans the glossy look.

The shade is a beautiful pinky coral, ideal for coral lovers, unique in shade and texture, and is not very easily duped in drugstore brands. This is definitely a day wear and can be sported by a wider age group with varied skin tones.

Other than the whopping price tag, there is nothing I can complain. This shade can be an everyday color for the college and office goers. The shade and the shine is a glam combo and you are sure to pick compliments on this lip shade.
