MAC Copperplate Eyeshadow Review, Swatch, EOTD
MAC describes Copperplate as muted mid tone grey.

Copperplate is a matte2 finish eyeshadow. It ..
- is a muted dirty greyish brown matte eyeshadow. It is one of those colours , which look dirty in pan but work great when applied.
- is a great over all lid colour
- is an excellent crease shade.
- is super duper amazingly smooth. Buttery smooth would be the right word.
- blends like a dream.
- works great with browns, blues, taupe,green, purples, black
- beautiful every day colour.
- a good transition as well as layering colour.
- excellent pick for day time smokey eyes.
- is a very good pick for work appropriate look.
- doesn’t crease
- very pigmented.
- stays looking fresh all day long.
Two things to consider about Copperplate
- It may look a bit muddy on dusky skin tones (say nc 45 and above).There is no hard and fast rule to it because it also depends on how you use it. My suggestion would be that you try this on your lids before picking it up.
- Copperplate does have a bit of a fall out. Honestly, I can totally ignore considering how amazing the finish and texture of this eyeshadow is.

And here is the day time smokey eye look I created with it. Copperplate is all over the lid and then I played with a few blacks and browns.On my lids, It gives a hint of mauve , which I like. I guess on everyone it would look different.
I wouldn’t call MAC copperplate eyeshadow as a must have in your collection but definitely good to have. I can see it becoming as my most used eyeshadow in coming days.

Yes true you said, doesnt look good in pan but swatch is quite impressive !!! I am liking it, but price is too much na?? I will go for cheaper eyeshadows !

Thats absolutely true, one can use it for office and all but me donot use eyeshadows on a regular basis, it takes time, so me just use eye liner, kajal and lip balm thats it everyday ! Its good really good 4 those using these regularly!
same here taaps, I dont use eye shadows everyday. Actually most of the time before leaving for office, I am clicking photos, transferring to comp , packing etc etc so by that time I am already quite late. Bt I would love to have a good collection of mac eyeshadows. They are just so lovely.
Mine is lipstick, blush , powder, eyeliner, mascara for everyday. and I love my cs palette so I keep smudging my liners with different colours.
on most days concealer too. :panda:
Ohh ok me use compact also. acha i want to use blush but always think may be in daytime, it will be more pronounced, so use it in evening,but seeing you all thinking of applying a bit in daytime 2
Oh! I never ever skip blush. totally love it. Use matte finishes. They look quite subtle and nice for day time.
Rati…which ones would you suggest for oily skin in blushes having matte finish?

tapas, you can definitely use peachy rose during the day . it’s not OTT at all. it just has this golden sheen and that only adds a bit of glow to your face, nothing else. It’s superb blush.
Yes yes its my first love !!! After buying peachy rose, I realized I like peachy blushes more than anything !!I have ordered Avon Peachy bloom blush for Rs 149 for 6gms this time, am excited when it will arrive.

yeah I think peachy tones give a little warmth to skin and they look superb! I guess peachy rose would be my first love as well. :shy:

Pu, you get loads of artificial hair accessories. you can just clip them in your hair,. forever 21, aldo, the side shops of GK-1 M block market , miss jo, all carry such stuff.

big into bronzers now..had picked up the darker powder shade from TBS some time but never used it. but when i went to pick up the blush/bronzer brush learnt the trick of contouring from the SA yday so me loving bronzer versus the blush currently..BUT having said that the Faces blush seems like a good buy :whistle:
Aruna, I love the maybelline dream mousse bronzer sooo sooo much cant tell you, its so cheap comparative to others and my face glows and looks very healthy as if I am exercising and taking good care. :tongue:
that reminds me i have faces blush from past few months and i have not even reviewd it. My faces reviews are quite jinxed it seems.

yeah..it arrived..and one eyeshadow was broken..and I sent an angry mail asking what to do..they called within 2 minutes of me sending a mail and they’d be resending the eyeshadow palette now..I am amazed at the service..seriously!!!

Nice shade… will save this for when I am a pro though
you dont have to be pro to use this one thought. just an all over colour and black eyeliner would give that smokey effect.

I had this eye shadow, along with MAC Quarry, but I gave them back
It didnt just suit me too well……may be the area around my eyes is so dark than other areas on my face, it matched the eyeshadow……so I was thinking….it doesnt show!
But its great for smokey eyes I guess….but I have other nicer browns to play with!
yeah nia this is not everyone’s eyeshadow. I agree that you must be feeling that it looks ashy on your eyes.. Bt I am really enjoying using it. I am in love with the texture,. there is such a major difference between matte and matte2. Super like.
Ya me too…don’t think it will suit me so much….but I have this Inglot shade similar to this…I think that has a bit of a sparkle in it so looks more alive…you tho are brown crazy
