MAC Lipstick Review : Creme Cup, Peach Blossom, Pure Zen, Pretty Please

MAC Lipstick Review : Creme Cup, Peach Blossom, Pure Zen, Pretty Please

Hi Everyone, 🙂

Today I am reviewing 4 MAC lipsticks from the neutral category range.  Although most of the shades shown below would ideally go very well with light skin tones but some people with dusky skin tones also prefer very pale lips. So the colors your pick for yourself are totally based on your preference and liking. Well neither of the 4 go very well with my skin tone so the reviews would be pretty neutral based on how they perform than whether I like them or not.:)

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick

  • Price : Rs 1190
  • Finish : Cremesheen
  • Color : light blue pink / a cool toned whitish pink.
  • Texture : creamy and slightly glossy. It has tendency to settle in fine lines of lips. So a lip pencil underneath is highly recommended.
  • Longevity : stays on for around 3 hours on lips without touchups
  • Pigmentation : medium pigmentation. It does not build up too well. If I apply more it it, it tends to look streaky and you have to even out the color with your finger tip. I personally feel it is best used on top of a neutral pink lip pencil if you want an opaque coverage.
  • Goes Best With : light pink / peach blushes and dark eye makeup. It could also make a lovely everyday lip color for those with light skin tones.
  • Skin Tones : light / pale skin tones
  • Fragrance : Vanilla
  • Rating : 3.5/5

MAC Peach Blossom Lipstick

  • Price : Rs 1190
  • Finish : cremesheen
  • Color : frosted cool nude /a slight glossy peachy pink shade.
  • Texture : creamy and soft glossy. It’s almost like a tinted creamy balm. Feels light on lips.
  • Longevity : Around 3 hours
  • Pigmentation : semi sheer and builds up just fine without any streaks. But it would still not make a super opaque lip color if you don’t wear a lip pencil underneath.
  • Goes Best With : peachy/ earthy tones blushes. Makes great pairing with smokey eyes as well. It could make a lovely MLBB or everyday shade for someone with light skin tone. On medium skin tones such as mine, it just washes out color from my face if I don’t balance it with dark eye makeup.
  • Skin Tones : light
  • Fragrance : Vanilla
  • Rating : 4/5

MAC Pure Zen Lipstick

  • Price : Rs 1190
  • Finish : cremesheen
  • Color : frosted warm N*de / milky N*de coral with gold pearls.
  • Texture : semi opaque and soft glossy. Has a tendency to settle in fine lines of lips and may accentuate the dryness of your lips.
  • Longevity : around 3 hours
  • Pigmentation : semi opaque. For a complete opaque coverage you would have to use a lip liner underneath.
  • Goes Best With : peachy and coral blushes. Great with smokey eye makeup.
  • Skin Tones : light but I personally loooove Pure Zen. I pair it a lot with smokey eyes.
  • Fragrance : Vanilla
  • Rating : 4/5

MAC Pretty Please Lipstick

mac pretty please review

  • Price : Rs 1190
  • Finish : lustre
  • Color : pale pink pearl /a whitish pale pink with golden pearl. It definitely has a frosty finish to it.
  • Texture : smooth and feels light on lips.
  • Longevity : around 2 hours
  • Pigmentation : semi sheer. It does not get an opaque finish even after 3-4 swipes. It’s a lustre finish and that’s how it should be actually.
  • Goes Best With : dark eye makeup or loads of peachy / warm pink blush to balance out the paleness of the lipstick.
  • Skin Tones : light / pale. A very very difficult to pull off color.
  • Fragrance : Vanilla
  • Rating : 3/5
