Here are a looks for the Today’s how. Vimi did smokey eyes with nude lips.

This is a Anoushka Manchanda. She was going to sing for the Rina Dhaka’s show. So Vimi wanted to give her a different look. She gave her smokey eyes and strawberry lips. I have video for the part of her look. the point is that you cannot shoot the videos until foundation and some of the makeup is already done. Can’t blame them because their faces are their assets and they always have to look good in public.
Her base makeup was done beautifully.Here’s what Vimi did:
She gave a little MAC Care blend essential oil + studio moisture cream massage to her face to relax her and give a little shine to her skin. Then she applied the MAC Prep + Prime brightening serum . You had to see the difference it made to Anoushka’s skin after applying the brightening serum. It completely changed the way her face looked. You know the soft luminous glow that we all keep craving for, it’s the brightening serum that creates the magic. Anyway, then she applied MAC Studio fix fluid on NC 44.5 and dusted MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (medium)all over the face. Then Vimi used the MAC Mineralize skinfinsih natural (dark) as a blusher to give a bronzy look. And she applied the Motif Eyeshadow on the apples of her cheeks. Motif eyeshadow is a peachy pink goldeny eyeshadow and it gave an instant pop to Anoushka’s cheeks. After the brightening serum, it was the motif eyeshadow that give a completely outstanding look to her face.
So much went into creating that perfect base. I think the following pictures look half as beautiful as she was looking in real. I ‘ll post the video of the eye look soon. 
Vimi is really a magician.
This was the look by Mickey Contrator. Dramatic winged eyeliner and hot red lips. For models with wheatish complexion they gave plummy lips. Although the looks look quite simple but there is so much precision that goes behind making them look flawless and perfect.
Lara Dutta and Jaqueline Fernandez also came for makeup as they were showstoppers for the two designers today. I have to say that Lara Dutta looks gorgeous even without makeup.
All in all, I had a good experience. It’s always a pleasure to go backstage and learn so much from these talented people. The real world is actually backstage. What you see on stage is only a dreamland.

anoushka looks smokin’ hot and the plummy lips on the models looks oomphy! all these creams and brightening serums would be excellent for a bride as she gets photographed so often. otherwise do you see the point of using them in daily life?

You are right, Rima. You may keep them for evenings etc. but can’t use them on daily basis. i think their studio fix + does an excellent job at giving that dewy look. But I am going to pick up Motif for sure. It’s magical.
Oils are great for skin otherwise but you have good options in aroma magic and lots of other brands.
I will review the mineralize skin finish next week. Made my two friends buy it and I get a thanks from them quite often.
i have my eyes on the mineralize skin finish since a long time and was going to get along with my pimp. i’ve stopped using lakme rose powder.
i’ve used a friend’s fix+ a few times, in winters and summers both, but it does nothing exceptional for my face. my face has quite a dewy look anyway.
you know with time as i’m taking more and more care of my skin, it’s becoming less dry and more manageable.

yeah i’m gonna call it a pimp only now! my small, helpful little pimp.
we’re surely gonna be a bunch of hotties even then
as far as the rose powder is concerned, of late i’ve noticed that even if i apply lots of it (i hate applying lots of powder), it disappears from my skin in no time. as it is, it doesn’t give that MATTE look (which i don’t want anyway). maybe it’s got to do with the humidity. i need something that’s long lasting. i’ll finish up the gigantic tub when the weather permits. as it is i don’t use any powder during winters, so this is gonna sit with me for sometime. i tell my mother to use it because she likes to bathe herself in powder before going out.

Use it on your undereyes while applying humid. It will take care of the any fall oust. Also armpits are always there, no I am not saying this. :rotfl:
I know my mom also like to put powder on her neck and back before stepping out. I could never understand that part of her.

btw gave up on the idea of picking up carbon as of now. I have two most beautiful blacks from lancome and estee lauder…
going to make the new list again.
i have black from lakme’s moondust and it’s dark dark dark. mrunmayee didn’t like it but i have no probs with it. lakme shadows just need a really good base. i’m eyeing a few colours too. lets see whether i go for inglot or mac for the moment.

Hey any idea how much the prep + prime brightening serum costs..?? my bf loves the dewy look so i might take him to a MAC soon and if he likes it then obviously he will have to buy it for me..lol.. im such a bad scheming person.. lol..!!!
My MAC visit is long long overdue.. but all these dinners, outings, watches and bags have made such a huge huge dent on my pocket.. had saved quiet an amount when i was on bed for 1.5 yrs but whats funny is it took me lesser than 1.5 mnths to spend all that moolah..!!

I’ll let you know the price by evening. I have seen vidhya tikari also use this brightening serum but then I never bothered too much because what you see in a class and what you see backstage has a different kind of impact on you.
