MAC describes Melba as soft coral peach.
It is one FABULOUS blush especially for sumer time. A tad bit of bronzer and Melba on cheeks, you are sorted. This blush is pretty close to MAC Peaches Blush. If you have MAC peaches blush, you don’t need to buy this one.
True to its description , it is a soft coral peach blush. If you like to use orange blushes but the deep oranges scare you, you must try Melba. On someone with deeper skintone, it may look orangey. On my skin tone it looks more coraly peachy. It is a pretty pigmented blush but I would call it more of a buildable blush. It stays one me for good 6 hours . I like that even though it is a matte blush, it does not go on flat. I do like to cheat with a bit of highlighter on top of my cheek bones but you really don’t need to for everyday. A lovely everyday blush that you cannot go wrong with. It does not go patchy during the day. Although I feel that you do need to blend it a tad bit more than satin or sheertone finish blushes from MAC. But honestly, I don’t mind that extra few strokes to make it look seamless.
I mostly like to pair Melba with peachy , orange or coral lipsticks. Not pinks too much. Neutrals, yes.
Overall, I love Melba blush a lot. It is a buildable color so you don’t find the mad amount of color on your cheeks in one go. And that extra strokes of blush makes everything even and nicely blended.
Give it a try!
