As I mentioned in my previous post the madness continues here in IMBB I present to you one more lovely stuff from MAC, Mineralize Glass in the shade Vibrant Vibe. I have never been a gloss person but these pretties were too good to resist and hence I picked one, all thanks to IMBB.

Price – Rs. 2100/- for 4.8gm

My experience with MAC Mineralize Glass – Vibrant Vibe

Packaging – The mineralize range has a unique packaging style. The outer paper carton is a mix of matte and glossy with all details about the product. The cap of the tube is unlike the regular glosses. It is slightly thicker at the top compared to the body which gives a better grip. Also the cap is matte black in color and the body is glossy. The color of the gloss shows through the transparent body. The shade name is mentioned at the base of the tube.

Texture – The gloss is perfect to its name. It is really glass in true sense of the term. The gloss gives mirror like shine to the lips. I was a bit apprehensive about the sticky nature of the Mac glosses but this one surprised me pleasantly. There is no sticky feeling to the lips but layering it one might make the lips feel a bit heavier. Though there is some shimmer to the gloss but they are absolutely non gritty in nature. In-fact you will not feel their presence at all.

Pigmentation – The gloss is not highly pigmented. In the swatches I have put 2 coats of the gloss on. If you have mildly pigmented lips 2 layers will be needed. On one coat it gives the look like a pink tinted lip balm without much coverage. If you really want the shade to show up it is advisable to cover the lips with a nude lip liner or lip erase.

Shade – The shade vibrant vibe is basic pink with violet micro shimmers which gives the illusion of violet hue to the shade. On my NC 40-42 skin tone this comes off as a very wearable shade of pink. Those who like high shine factor in their glosses you must have a look at this range.

Staying power – on its own the gloss stays for about 2-3 hours with snacks and tea/coffee. With lip liner as the base the staying power improves upto 6 hours. The good thing about the gloss is after meal there gloss does not become blotchy or smeared. The intensity reduces but the beauty remains.

 

The lip swatch has no base so as to show the real color. Gloss lovers must check out the range while I am saving this for special occasions.
