MAC Moonlight Night Pigment + MAC Lord It Up Eye Liner FOTD

I was playing with some of the stuff I have from MAC Tartan Tale Collection. I have used mainly two things in the following look:

1. MAC Moonlight Night Pigment : It is a black based pigment with teal blue – green flecks. It applies smoothly but I feel that the true colour shows when applied wet. Make sure that you apply tons on loose powder on your cheeks because pigments have a fallout. This one has a black base so you might end up having back cheeks if you are not careful.

The other is a MAC Pearlglide Eye Liner in Lord It up.

It is a copper brown eye liner with copper gold flecks. Super creamy , the shimmer is not harsh on eyes and applies evenly. I have used it as a base because I wanted the lid colour to be very intense but not as intense if I would have applied a black base.

That’s the look I have created. The base is of pearl glide pencil, pigment applied wet all over the lid and edges faded out using a grass green eyeshadow. In the inner corner I have used a pale gold highlighter so that the eyes don’t look completely closed. Kajal on waterline, eyelids lined with blackish- brown cream liner and lots of mascara.

I have kept cheeks and lips warm peachy – almost nude.

MAC Painterly Paint Pot, Bobbi Brown Gel Liner – Cavier Ink, Estee Lauder Magnascopic Mascara, MAC Sassy Green Eyeshadow, Lotus Herbals Kajal, MAC Pigment- Moonlight Night, Inglot eyeshadow,MAC Studio Finish Concealer, MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation.

Colorbar Peachy Rose Blush & Colorbar Blush (mixed), Lakme Lip Love Lipstick Aphrodite Blush, MAC Lipglass – Devilishly Stylish

About comparing the Pigment…. : If it not fell out of the red pouch on the way to India there should have been a small jar in the goodie-pouch I sent you, containing MAC pigment Platinum. Great for nice-contrast combination with dark colours like Moonlight Night

Which shade of lipstick would you suggest with this eye makeup.

Well it was tiny jar – then it got lost or maybe I put it in the wrong pouch (had five or six red goodie pouches packed for christmas as well). You could go for Silver (Metal) piment as well, it´s very similar to Platinum.

Lip Make Up: Depends on light, daytime and so on. For evening make up I would go for a classical Red like MAC Russian Red or MAC R-E-D or a intense pink shade. For more casual look you can use softer Pinks or lustre Pink texture, and blueish nudes like Cosmo.

Gr88 One Rati!!! okk..now I have questions: since I recently bought a very fine powder eye shadow and I am totally at loss on how to use it without fall out..the pigment is very nice n silvery black..n I love it…but it falls on my cheeks and under eyes ..PlZZZZ help..!!!

Anuradha, put tons of lose powder on your cheeks and under the eys so that when you apply the pigment, it falls on the powder and not on your cheeks. Use a flat brush and pat the pigment on your eyes. you will get a fall out but the patting would reduce it. By the end of the makeup , you just dust away the loose powder from your face . You skin would be clean.

I think I’ll do a post on pigments this week or may be next week. )

You may check maxfactor foundations… I love their textures. I use age miracles one , which is awesome. maxfactor miracle ouch illuminating foundation is also good. Revlon color stay (bt that’s not the dewy one)

You may check out colorbar (plum brown, just earth, peachy rose) or maybelline expert wear blushes.Even lakme has this nice peachy blush.
