After blues, I love greens a lot for eye makeup. This shade is described as “Deep khaki green”, which is almost true; I feel it inclined a bit towards forest green. What do you think? And, what’s up with the packaging of this eyeliner?!

My Experience with MAC Water Willow Fluidline Eye Pencil:
I do not like the packaging at all even though it is color coded. It does not have any “MAC” charm; even eyeliners from less expensive brands like Chambor and Faces look the same. This liner cannot be retracted into the packaging which is such a bummer! I mean, how else are you supposed to know the amount left? What if the liner is about to get over and I start applying it…and it gets over when I am done with just one eye? I demand better packaging if I pay high price (yeah, I am cheap like that! :P). Also, since there is no sharpener, the tip becomes flat after usage and loses it precision.
The shade is a gorgeous green one, and I love it. It adds a nice hint of color and flatters my complexion a lot. The micro shimmer in this liner intensifies the beauty of the color and makes it apt for parties too. I like to apply this liner and then smudge it to create a soft smokey effect. The texture is creamy as it is supposed to be a gel-pencil eyeliner, but it is not the creamiest liner I have used. It does tug my eyelids a bit at times. The pigmentation is very good as I need not go over and over to apply my liner perfectly.
The staying power too is amazing. It does not smudge or fade at all from my eyelids even if I wear it for 8 hours. I need to remove it with a makeup remover at the end of the day. Even though it is a great eyeliner, I still feel something is missing in this one, and I cannot really tell what. Of course, I can live with this kind of packaging but still maybe I was expecting more since it is “MAC” (MAC lovers, you can kill me now!). I feel a close dupe of this shade is Lakme Forever Silk Eyeliner Gypsy Green.
Let me know if you know some other dupe. I am sure there must be other dupes available since it is not the most unique shade. The liner sets quite quickly on the eyelids but your expertise with liners will determine whether this is a pro or con; for me it’s fine.
