This review will be on the Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip liner Pencil in the shade Matte Raspberry 10C.

About The Product:
A creamy, non-transferable lip liner for long-lasting, glide-on precision.

What it does:
Stop worrying about your lip liner smudging or fading. This nonstop, highly pigmented color is waterproof and stays put. It glides on with vitamin E and jojoba wax, making it is easy to shape and define your lips.

What else you need to know:
The Aqua collection of lip and eye colors was created for the Parisian Aquatic Ballet. Tested under water for five hours, Make Up For Ever’s longest wearing makeup has an extensive palette of high-performance colors with nonstop results. Pair with Aqua Rouge for an unstoppable lip.

-Jojoba Wax and Vitamin E: Impart ease of application; comfortable on lips.

My Experience with Make Up For Ever 10C Matte Raspberry Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Liner Pencil:

Packaging:
Comes in a standard pencil format with a cap that reflects the color of the lip liner. It does need sharpening which I am not a fan of as I feel that it leads to product wastage. The tip has never broken when I have sharpened it.

Texture & Application:
This lip liner is smooth and creamy, but it does not glide on my lips as smoothly as some of the other lip liners I have used in the past. It is easy to line my lips with this, but when it comes to filling them in, it tugs and drags; especially on dry parts. I have a very difficult time using this when my lips are dry, and exfoliation and moisturization hold utmost importance when using this product.

I find this line liner accentuated the dry patches on my lips, hence I cannot use it on its own. I usually wear this under a lipstick or a gloss and the hydrating nature of those seem to counteract the dryness this lip liner causes.

Shade:
I love this shade, especially for the fall season. It is deep berry plum. It is very wearable and not too vampy and this color will suit all skin tones.

Staying Power:
As per the claim, I did find this lip liner to be long wearing and waterproof. It does not transfer and only oil will break it down. You have to just be careful if you eating oily food, but other than that, this is an ‘apply and forget’ kind of a lip product. It also provides a nice base for lipsticks.

Overall:
This is a good product, but it is not my favorite lip liner. I find this line of lip liners very drying even more than others I have tried. I prefer the formula of Too Faced Perfect Lips Lip Liner over this. The Too Faced ones feel creamier and have retractable pencil and cost a couple of bucks less, but the only con is that they do not come in a vast array of colors. I have no complaints about this color and this it is a must-have for fall and winter.

• Feels super drying when worn on its own, hence I use it under a lipstick or a lip gloss
• Lips need to be properly exfoliated and hydrated, otherwise it tugs and skips
