I am back again with a shimmery lip gloss from Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Diamond Collection, which was an impulsive buy, just like D14 that I have already reviewed on IMBB.  I feel for 5 bucks, these lip glosses are quite a steal, especially for beauties who love non-sticky glittery glosses. So, let’s read on further to know more about Make Up Forever Lab Shine D 16 Shimmering Beige Gloss.

Product Description:

A lightly textured gloss that delivers spectacular shine with a gorgeous pop of color.  This gloss combines camelina oil and mother-of-pearl particles that reflect light to create incredible shine that adds volume to the lips. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, it provides intense hydration with a non-sticky texture for a noticeably moisturized pout. Its subtle apricot fragrance also adds a sweet scent to your lips.

Packaging:

This creamy and shimmery lip gloss comes in a transparent plastic yet sturdy tube packaging like any lab shine lip gloss along with soft and unique brush applicator unlike doe-foot applicators. I am in love with its soft brush applicator. It does have a mild fragrance and also a sweet taste, which are not bothersome at all.  Overall, quite an user friendly and travel-friendly packaging.

My Experience with Make Up For Ever Lab Shine D16 Shimmering Beige:

As I mentioned earlier, I am quite impressed by the texture and quality of these shimmery glosses, especially at bargain prices, not their actual price though 😛 This D 16 Shimmering Beige, as the name says is quite a subtle neutral pinkish beige shade with multicolor sparkles. I feel it will work well over any neutral peach/pink/beige lip color, not advisable for pigmented lips though.  It gives a nice beige sheen with sparkles on my lips that too with no bleeding or settling in fine lines. Usually, I shy away from shimmery and sheer lip products, but these glosses are an exception as I love wearing them alone as of now. I even bought 3-4 sets for my sisters since they are totally into glittery makeup and there cannot be anything better than this non-sticky glosses for my lovely gals.

The wear time is quite decent as it lasts as long as 4-5 hours with light meals and snacks despite being a non-sticky gloss. I feel it has perfect consistency to adhere on the lips and glides effortlessly on dry lips without that tacky feel, even with glitter.  Another impressive fact is that it does not seem frosty at all and way glossy than any other budget glittery gloss.  It won’t feather around the lips nor settle in fine lines.  In fact, it gives a nice plumping effect with that holiday sparkly theme on lips. Call it holiday fever or non-sticky gloss effect that I actually love the shimmery effect on my lips. I already talked about the amazing hydrating and juicy quality of these glosses, I hardly need lip balm even after removing them for a few hours. My lips feel soft and supple with this lightweight gloss. I think I am on the verge of falling in love with shimmer.  I recommend this gloss to every glitter loving beauty.

Pros of Make Up For Ever Lab Shine D16 Shimmering Beige:

• Thick shimmery gloss, which is too light and subtle on lips.
• Gives sheer neutral pinkish beige color payoff with multicolor sparkles which looks subtle and apt for holiday theme.
• Quite hydrating and gentle on skin, even with the sparkles.
• Lips feel quite soft and supple for a few hours, even after the gloss wears off.
• Does not settle in fine lines, does not accentuate dry lips.
• Gloss is thick enough, glides and adheres on to the skin for a few hours, does not feel sticky or tacky.
• Quite user friendly and travel-friendly packaging.

Cons of Make Up For Ever Lab Shine D16 Shimmering Beige:

• It is not meant for pigmented lips.
• Some may not like the shimmer in the gloss.
• May not work well on dry, flaky lips.
• Might seem pricey for sheer coverage and sparkly finish.

Well, I feel it is a personal choice, either you hate shimmer or you love them.  Since I am yet to love glittery products completely, I may not pick it up again, but I will definitely get it again and again at sale price for my family. For me, this gloss also fetches 3.9/5!
