How is everyone doing? Today, I am reviewing a lipstick that I have been contemplating buying for quite some time. On my last trip to Sephora, I was on a mission to find a lipstick shade for fall, but I did not want any deep reds or berry shades. Don’t get me wrong, I love my red lipsticks, but you know how on some days you don’t feel like going for the bolder shades. So, my quest did end on this Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in shade 34. Let me tell you all about it.
Rouge Artist Intense is described as a lipstick saturated with pigments for an intense result. Available in 50 different shades and 3 different finishes – matte, pearly, and satin—for varying effects. Color 34 is described as a satin light raspberry shade. It claims to suit your everyday mood. Natural or sexy, Rouge Artist Intense will last all day and leave your lips soft and moisturized. Formulated with 50% more pigment than the traditional lipstick, Rouge Artist Intense gives an immediate true-to-color result. A blend of three natural waxes, the creamy texture glides on effortlessly for a long-lasting hold. The extensive color and texture range provides unlimited creativity.
It retails for $20 for 3.5 gm of product. It is exclusively sold at Sephora.
The packaging is really nice quality. I like the black with silver border, makes it look classy.
My Experience with Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick #34:
I am loving it. The color is an interesting twist to the normal pink shade that we feel comfortable wearing every day. It is a raspberry pink, great color for fall. The finish is satin, it shows up glossy on the lips, but there is no shimmer in it. It feels creamy when I apply it and glides easily on my lips. I always line my lips with a liner when I am using this lipstick so that it stays within the parameters of the lips.
As the name says, it is very intense, one swipe is enough for the beautiful color pay off. It does have that peculiar lipstick smell. It stays on for about 4 hours which I feel is a letdown, I mean it is an expensive product and the brand claims of long-lasting hold which is definitely not the case. I have other less expensive lipsticks that stay longer. Also, I have noticed after a few hours, it feels a little drying on my lips.
I usually use a lip balm over it if I feel any dryness. If you re-apply this lipstick as the day goes by, it works great, but I am lazy in that context. I never carry my lipsticks with me as I head out of home, so longer lasting lipsticks always work better for me.
Pros of Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick #34:
- Very pigmented.
- Feels creamy, easy to apply.
- Satin finish.
- Color is very flattering.
Cons of Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick #34:
- Does not last long enough.
- Can feel dry on the lips in a few hours.
- It is pricey.
My overall thought about this lipstick is that I like the product, color is pretty, very pigmented. You might have to reapply it if you are going out for long hours. Moisturize your lips well before use. Give this one a try
