Orange- is so my color. My quest for orange lip colors sure is never ending. There is something interesting about the color that I just don’t seem to get bored of. So, whenever I spot an orange lip color, I just want it. Till I don’t get my hands on it, I am highly restless and not at peace until I don’t have it all to myself. And when I saw Make Up Store’s chubby lipsticks, I picked up the one that caught my eye instantly (and that’s definitely orange!!!). I’m so in love with it from the time I have got it and I just can’t stop raving about it.

So, today I will be reviewing the Make Up Store Chubby Lipstick in the shade Tangelo.

My Experience with Make Up Store Chubby Lipstick Tangelo:

Make Up Store Chubby Lipstick comes in a chubby crayon stick form. This chubby stick has a wooden base with a black plastic cap to it that closes securely. So, you need not worry of the cap coming off and the lipstick ruining your bag. This is a non- retractable pencil that needs to be sharpened once it gets blunt. But, no additional sharpner is provided with it. Sharpening though makes it hygienic, but leads to product wastage. It has a color coded bottom indicating the shade of the lipstick, making it easy to locate the shade in your makeup stash if stored upside down. The shade name is mentioned on the tube itself.

Just to mention, the pencil is really lightweight. So, you can even carry it around in your wallet, and it will not add upto the weight of your already bulky wallet.

Tangelo is a pure orange lip color with absolutely no shimmer or sheen. It has no reddish or milky undertones to it. I totally love clear and true orange lip shades, and if you are someone who likes orange lipsticks then you will fall in love with this shade. Though it is a bright shade, it is quite wearable and isn’t neon. It will brighten up your face the instant you apply it on your lips. This shade will look fabulous on all skin toned beauties.

Texture of this chubby lipstick is simply awesome. It is really smooth, soft and creamy. It is so soft and creamy that it glides on beautifully and you hardly need any efforts to apply it on your lips. It is creamy, but not to the point that it crumbles and slides off the lips.

It’s incredibly pigmented in just one stroke. One swipe is all you need to get rich, opaque color on your lips. Once applied, the color settles down to a matte finish and doesn’t smudge or bleed. The color feels super light on the lips and you hardly feel like you have anything on your lips.

The Tangelo chubby lipstick lasts for a seriously long period of 6-7 hours at a stretch, with minimum fading. On heavy meals, the color fades away from the centre area of the lips, but can be fixed by smudging the rest of the color around the lips. The color looks amazing on exfoliated lips, but you don’t require a lip balm underneath the lipstick; as it doesn’t dry out your lips till the time you have it on. This lipstick does leave a light stain behind, which is easy to remove and you really don’t require a makeup remover to remove it.

As far as the smell goes, it smells like… colored pencils. Yes that’s right, but the smell isn’t annoying or overpowering. And the best point is that it disappears within no time and doesn’t linger.

Overall, Make Up Store Chubby Lipstick in the shade Tangelo is a bright orange lip color that comes in a chubby non retractable wooden stick form. With it’s amazing texture, pigmentation and lasting power this is one of the best orange lip color I own. It’s a gorgeous creamy matte finish lip color, but it isn’t drying or uncomfortable on your lips. So, it’s definitely worth picking up!!!
