Hi All,
Time for a post on yet another Haul of mine. I stay quiet for some time making a note of all the interesting stuff that comes on IMBB and then I splurge at one shot which is a great feeling 🙂 . To add to that a gift voucher from the Body shop was a bonus so that got me back to the TBS store again. Hope you like the stuff. I have only taken pics of some of the products here. If you need details on any of these pls do let me know.. would be happy to provide.
This is where I spent a lot of time and money past few weeks. 😀
- Fuso Makeup kit – dad got it for me from Singapore
- Nivea Visage Skin refining scrub – used it a couple of times but not sure yet about whether it is suiting me or not• Coloressence Liquid Lip Color – shade says brown crown but it is more of a orangy rust color. Cannot make up my mind whether I like it or not. It’s a little too sticky for me at this point
- Coloressence Liquid Lip Color – Maroon Dust
- Body shop eye pencil – dark brown – Don’t like this at all.
- Max Factor Smokey eye effect double ended eye shadow pencil – brown haze – wore it once. The darker shade might be better.
The pale side gives a shine but its not that effective
Received a free Black Mascara (small). The Interesting thing was that initially she told me to buy another product of the same price or lesser and she would give me the Mascara free but I really didn’t want anything so I took the bill from her, roamed around Lifestyle a bit and after paying when I came back to her she just included the mascara free anyways. I was really kicked about it because I didn’t fall into the ‘buying another product’ trip
• TBS Born Lippy – plum – Totally love this one though it does need a touch up every 3 to 4 hours
• TBS rainforest shampoo – Volume
• Color bar kohl – Black
• Color Bar liquid eye liner – black
• Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream
• Colorbar Kajal Jet Black 001
• Faces Go Chic Lipstick – Hazelnut
• Faces Go Chic Lipstick- Mulberry Slush
• TBS concealer – # 04 – was a huge disappointment. Will stick to MAC for a long time to come. I have given up looking for an alternative.
• NYX felt tip eye liner – THE best I have used after the MAC gel eyeliner.
• Freeman Body scrub – guava – theek theek hai. Wont be buying it again.
As you can see I am big into eye liners/pencils these days . Out of the above I really liked the NYX felt Tip eyeliner, Fuso Makeup kit especially the blushes, TBS Born lippy and the Faces lipsticks. I just didn’t like TBS concealer at all and the TBS brown eye pencil. I personally think TBS is better with their Skincare than makeup.
Infact the whole idea of sharing this haul started because of this makeup kit my dad got me from Singapore which I really wanted to share with you all. So I got enthu and got around to clicking pics of the other stuff I had bought.
This makeup kit is called Fuso and the pics are below. My dad has always spoilt me right from his days of that very first trip ‘abroad’ years ago when I was still in school. So while still in school I was already wearing ‘imported’ raincoats and thereafter carrying fancy bags to college. I actually got ‘thanda’ as I grew up and became more desi in my University days. I quickly switched to oxidized earrings and bangles with cotton short kurtas and flowery skirts and long necklaces all through my University days (almost like a subdued version of Rati’s 🙂 boho chick).
Btw, I am still awaiting my little parcel containing Aroma Magic lavender Oil and Oxy pack and some Vega brushes :).
I haven’t gotten very creative with my pics. Just put them on the bed and clicked them :((

i really like the shampoo Gurpreet. but if it wasnt for the gift voucher might not have spent 500+ on a shampoo. sorry, still old school thinking i guess..and it dosent lather much which i have heard is a good thing (no SLS). i do use it with my Livon conditioner and matrix serum so the final look is pretty nice

my husband kinda lost it when i said i had spent 500 bucks on a shampoo. but luckily it was from a gift voucher so bach gaye types. if only he knew how much i spend on other things (wink wink)..
wow great haul aruna..!! i love it when my dad gets makeup stuffs, dresses and accessorizes for me.. nothing can match that happiness.. 😀 😀 i will dance around the home like a 3 yr ol even now.. Every dad treats their girls like princesses na.. so sweet
hain na? its almost like he had read my mind. it was abt 900 bucks in INR so not bad. he is so adorable. i was pretty kicked abt this makeup stuff..
Goodness, what a haul, Aru! I am on a saving spree these days so as to be able to splurge later on a few non-makeup items. Your post is severely testing my resolve now. (Would have liked to put that spank smiley here – hmph!) I may soon break down and order half of this stuff online…. or maybe jump off a cliff in desperation. 😛 Let us know about the TBS Rainforest shampoo. I want to read its review before I run off to buy it. 😀

JW/Kalyani – I really like the rainforest shampoo. its a little watery, dosent lather much but some conditioner and a serum later it does look pretty nice. i feel that my hair sets well and since i cut my hair really short recently i was looking for a volumizing shampoo and this was right there waiting for me 🙂 i just keep buying stuff you know cos i get tempted. sometimes i even forget what i have. wish i cud spank myself for being so careless and absent minded.

And since i was like 5.. my dad’s always given me chocolates n only chocolates as gifts…
I am 22 now… and he conti ues the chocolate tradition…

Haha, same here. I cannot imagine my dad ever buying a makeup kit for me. All I have received is books, clothes, shoes (admittedly, pretty good ones) and more books. Makeup will always perhaps be something that he will think I am “too young to wear”, and I am nearly 22 too. 😛
hahahha..and at 44 maye he wants me to wear some (i mean some more)..hahahhaha..ok ok now i am putting myself down by saying these stupid things. he knows he cant go wrong with makeup as a gift. when i was younger he used to get earrings and bags too. But i didnt realize the value then. i had so taken it for granted at that point.

hey you know i will definitely try and do that. i really like it. am eyeliner/eye pencil crazy of late. i am not great with applying so will practice a bit and then review it with pics and all.
yeahhh plz get back wd d rainforest shampoo rvw..i just got around 2 tbs bt cdnt get d volume 1 🙁 i got d watermelon lip balm from tbs n it wsnt at all dat great :-/
will do the review. few more requests here 🙂 abt the lip balm, try the Born lippy in plum. thats pretty good. though you have to reapply after a few hrs it doesnt go away go off completely so there a slight hint of color that stays for a while.

colorful is The word for that kit. i am sure I wont use most of it. maybe a couple of lipsticks and the blushes..you know i am never quite sure of the quality with these products so i wont take much risk I think..since I have some nice eyeliners from NYX and Colorbar and mascara from maxfactor, i defy wont use the Fuso eyeliner and mascara

I am loving body scrubs. Till i read it on IMBB i was never really keen on buying body scrubs but I so love it now. this one feels very sugary with a very earthy smell. there is a hint of guava no doubt but its more earthy. not sure if i am explaining it well but bottom line is that I like it. But on the neg side its a little hard to squeeze out of that bottle and with wet hands it can be quite a pain.
oh! thanks for the mini review 🙂 I mostly find loofah the best exfoliator. It sort of has always worked for me. I keep trying body scrubs but keep coming back to the good old loofahs. love the ones by TBS. They come in such pretty colors and are very woogly woogly kinds. Total love. 😀

shud check out the loofahs..:) wont be repeating this particular scrub for sure. maybe milder and easy to use ones..:))

hey yeah i did..been using past few days and it hasnt broken me out so I should say its working well. its quick thick in consistency and I kinda feel the difference. makes my face look brighter I think..not sure. noone has mentioned it to me..:)
now i want that :drool: smiley here….awesome haul it is!!! have fun with all thestuff….

I know friends of mine whose husbands dont like their wives to wear makeup at all..infact my dad is like that. he dosent like my mom to wear makeup but obviously he lets his daughters do it + my mom is always in sarees. he dosent like her to wear salwars also. she dosent even apply lipstick but after 53 years of marriage she dosent feel its a big sacrifice becos she is so used to him.
Very nice haul Aruna n the lakme perfect radiance cream didnt break u out thats amazing my skin is also very sensitive n acne prone n m using aroma magic lavender oil its really great u r getting it use it u wont b dissapointed lavender oil is gud for acne it kills the acne causing bacteria .
How does one use lavendar oil on the face? With some moisturizer or just directly on the skin?
u can use lavender oil directly on the skin..or u can also mix few drops to ur cream/moisturiser..

ya my dad dosent know much too except for a name like lipsticks, so i figured he played it safe by just buying this kit with so many colors and the SA would have told him it has many things like eyeliners etc so it was easy buy for him. 🙂
Aruna m using 2 drops in my ponds age miracle night cream at night and during the day i mix a drop or 2 with my aloe vera gel
oh thats neat. I just shud have gone thru IMBB before i put on my night cream now, could have mixed the lavendar oil with it..my night cream btw is the Olay fairness night cream (also which I bought recently after reading something similar on IMBB). will try the oil with the lakme radiance cream tomorrow morn. thanks.
If u have acne u can use neat on it , i started lavender oil after reading a lot about it on the net
i dont have acne, just an occasional pimple tat shows up now and then during a certain time of the month but it promptly goes away. will try it on a couple of scars that I have..:)
Dat makeup kit is just suppperb.. Do review it sometime. All my people get me are clothes 🙁

🙂 ya and plus I got my medplus package today – Faces lipstick called ‘sparkling wine..” , maybelline watershine lipstick in Mochaccino, maybelline line allure studio eyeliner (black), Maybelline BB cream in ntural and couple of other things like HipHop makeup remover pads and Maybelline eye and lip makeup remover..I really think i need to be sent to rehab or something. 🙁
