A few days ago, I had hauled a bunch of Makeup Geek eyeshadows, you can see the preview post and swatches of all shades here. This review will be on the shade “Chickadee.”

I’d love to have a creative description for this one, but no such luck. I will tell you that wearing this fun orange eyeshadow makes you one hot chick though. These are all highly-pigmented – just check out the swatches! – Half the price of high end shadows without sacrificing quality – These pans can be placed in empty palettes such as Z-Palettes. – Eyeshadow pan weight is 1.8G / 0.064 oz – With a separate palette, you can build your own custom palettes – All our shadows are cruelty-free — we do not test our products on animals. These eyeshadows are talc and paraben free.

My Experience with Makeup Geek Chickadee Eyeshadow Pan:
Packaging: This eyeshadow comes in a pan which you have to pop into a magnetic palette. I do like the flexibility this provides for customizing a palette based on your needs but this also means you have to shell out extra to buy the Z palette on top of buying the eyeshadow.
Shade: “Chickadee” is described as a tangerine orange with yellow undertones and a matte finish. It is a beautiful yellow-based orange. It makes an excellent transition shade for warmer eye looks. I find myself reaching for this very often and especially love pairing it with rusty copper shades.
Pigmentation: Pigmentation of this shade is good. This shade has buildable pigmentation which I like as it makes it easy to diffuse the color in the crease and blend it with other shades without getting any harsh edges.
Texture and Blendability: The texture of this eyeshadow is very smooth and soft. A tad bit of powder does fly as as you dip your brush in but it does not cause any fall out during blending.
Staying Power: Staying power is amazing. I did not see any fading or creasing for over 8 hours with a eye primer under.
Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying using these Makeup Geek eyeshadows. I have used many eyeshadows from across all brands and I can honestly say that these Makeup Geek shadows definitely have that high end feel in terms of its ease of use and smooth texture. And I feel you just cannot beat this high quality for this price. I highly recommend this eyeshadow.
In the EOTD 1, I have used “Glamorous” all over the lid blended with “Chickadee” and “Cocoa Bear” in the crease.
In EOTD 2, I have used “Chickadee” in as a transition shade deepened with “Frappe” and “Cocoa Bear” in the crease and “Shimma Shimma” all over the lid. I did a golden cut crease with Lime Crime eye liner in “Rhythm.”
