My Experience with Makeup Geek Time Travel Eyeshadow:

Packaging:  This eyeshadow comes in a pan, which you have to pop into a magnetic palette. I do like the flexibility this provides for customizing a palette based on your needs, but this also means you have to shell out extra to buy the Z palette on top of buying the eyeshadow.

Shade and Finish:  “Time Travel” is described as a deep teal with grey undertones. It has strong blue tones to it and can almost look navy in certain lights. I find the undertone to be neutral, not too cool, which can be difficult to carry and is personally not my favorite kind of shade. It yielded a complete matte finish. I do like to use this beautiful shade on the crease or to deepen the outer V as a alternative to traditional black or brown.

Texture/Pigmentation/Blendability:  This eyeshadow is buttery smooth to the touch. It is not too stiff or dry. It picks up nicely on a brush without yielding much fall out. The pigmentation is very good. It does sheer out considerably while blending and I did need to build it up in layers to achieve an opaque color, but it wasn’t too difficult to get to. It layers well on itself, blends well into other shades without getting muddy.

Staying Power: It wears without creasing or fading for 8-9 hours with primer.

Overall, I am very happy with this shade. While it is not as impressive as some of other brilliant shades from my Makeup Geek collection in terms of blend-ability, I still like the color and will recommend.

In the EOTD, I have used “Time Travel” in the crease with the shade “Pegasus” from the Makeup Geek foiled collection on the lid.
