My Experience with Makeup Revolution Chauffeur Rose Gold Lipstick:

Beginning with the packaging of the lipstick, the first thing that attracts me towards these lipsticks is their rose gold packaging. I have already mentioned in my previous reviews that I am madly in love with rose gold stuff these days. I got a rose gold watch recently. I really chose this color over other color options available. Crazy me!

So, let’s discuss about the packaging of the lipstick. The lipstick comes in a rose gold case. The mirror finish of the casing makes it look elegant. The packaging is completely opaque. So, you cannot see the shade from outside. There is a sticker at the base indicating the shade. The lipstick has a dome shaped cap that fits tightly making a satisfying click sound. Hence, it ensures that the lipstick will not create any mess in your handbag. So for me, the packaging is fine & looks luxurious.

Let’s talk about the shade “Chauffeur”. I keep my eagle eyes on the latest launches of lip colors and every new lipstick excites me crazily. Though I love to collect and add variety of colors to my stash, but corals and nudes are most commonly worn by me. I keep searching perfect n*de shade that matches my skin tone. Most of them fail to suit and wash me out badly. Only a few of them really work for me and this lipstick is one of them. The shade “Chauffuer” is a pinkish n*de shade with a little mauve hue to it. This shade will suit a wide variety of Indian skin tones. It goes perfectly with my skin tone. I love to pair is with smokey eyes. This is a perfect MLBB shade for me. The lipstick is free from any shimmers. Pigmentation of the lipstick is also nice. The color hides the pigmentation of the lips in some 2-3 swipes and gives a perfect opaque finish.

The texture is also amazing. This range is the second loved range from Makeup Revolution after the Liphug range of lipsticks. The lipstick is very creamy and glides effortlessly on the lips without any tugging or pulling. The smooth texture of the lipstick makes it glides like a dream. The color looks slightly glossy initially but sets to a satiny finish after a few minutes. It feels super light and comfortable on the lips. The lipstick has a moisturizing formula that keeps my lips moisturized and hydrated. My lips do not feel dry even after few hours of application. So, I am happy with its nourishing formula. The texture is on a creamier side, so, it transfers easily. The color smudges after some 3-4 hours of application, so I prefer to apply a lip liner underneath to keep my lipstick in place.

The lipstick lasts for some good 4-5 hours on my lips with a little drinking. It does not survive a heavy meal and color gets ripped off easily. So, it requires an instant reapplication. Overall, this is a decent product that will flatter Indian skin tones well.
