I am excited to be reviewing my first ‘Marc Jacobs’ product that is sexy as hell in totality. My review is going to be about a hot red polish called ‘Lola’ from Marc Jacobs Enamoured Hi-Shine Polish range. To know how this red beauty did, keep reading.

Coat nails with this fresh take on nail polish. Inspired by Marc’s highly lacquered coffee table, Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Polish is formulated with patented bonding agents that deliver a plasticized, wet look while the color rich creams and fine glitters ensure vivid, chip-resistant color. These shades are inspired by Marc’s favorite movies. The curvature of the bottle resembles a smile, and the custom, curve-hugging brush optimizes application.

My Experience with Marc Jacobs 134 Lola Enamoured Hi-Shine Nail Polish:

With ‘Lola’, it was a love at first sight and this curvaceous lady in red is additive in all aspects. When I really get attached to a product and find it to be appealing in every sense, I address it like a human. 😛 Forgive me for that. Now going on to the intricate hot details of Lola.

Packaging: The nail polish has a packaging that looks elegant and sexy while equally being comfortable to use. The tiny bottle that is made of hard glass with ‘Marc Jacobs’ imprinted on it has a shiny black cap with a thick silver strip that adds overall oomph and cuteness to the round-edged bottle. The bottle carries the name, number, and quantity at the bottom. When you twist the top black lid, you can find a striated tinier screw lid to which the short-stubby applicator is attached. Although short, it is not hard to use; the details of the packaging have been well thought about.

Color: ‘Lola’ is not a ‘too hot to handle’ red in my opinion. It is that vibrant happy red that you have probably always been looking for. If you are on a hunt of an elegant nail paint that reflects a bright tomato red , then ‘Lola’ can do more than good for you. Although this is a festive color, it can still be used on romantic dates and parties. It also makes for a nice daytime wear and a perfect shade for the brides-to-be; this can be the red to complement your beautiful mehndi done fingers and palms.

Shine and Finish: The Marc Jacobs offers a bright shine and finish that would flatter all skin tones. The finish is neither too shiny in any tacky sense. I like single coat and double coat finish. Obviously, a good double coat would offer a longer staying power. The shine and finish rendered by this polish can be used to do simple and fancy nail arts considering the merry red color. Also, it can suit all age groups and the finish helps you pair with gold and silver jewelry, which is visually very appealing. In my opinion, the final output works to be all purpose one and not strictly festive.

Drying Power and Staying Power: The polish instantly sets and the drying power is mind-blowing; this is how you get to know why have you paid so much! 😛 It literally takes seconds to max a minute or two to neatly sit even if you are using two coats of it. For the second coat, if you can buy time or have time in your hand, then try and not disturb. Once applied, it stays for three days, which is also why I think this red shade would be apt for brides to go for.

Although, the shelf life is not specified, with the help of IMBB I am certain that this bottle is best when used within a year and an another interesting thing that crossed my mind while wearing this polish is a post written by Vandana Jain, that talks about ‘Which Nail Polish Colors Suit Your Zodiac Sign The Best’. I, being a Libran, do not prefer bold and I am a huge ‘yes’ to soft hues. But if Lola worked for this Libran, I am certain that beautiful Arien and Cancerian ladies must try this and would love this red beauty. If you are a bride-to-be, do pamper yourself with ‘Lola’ for the color, drying and staying power.

I do not have to buy it again as I got this as a steal from my sister. But, I would recommend this beautiful happy red shade to all.
