I am back with an eye product review for you. This one is a gel liner in a twist-up pencil form from the prestigious beauty house of Marc Jacobs!

How to use the sharpener:
Pop out the black sharpener and twist the tip of Highliner to sharpen. You can also sharpen Highliner against a tissue to form a precise point.
Artist tips:
- Highliner takes about 15 seconds to set, so if you work quickly with a small smudging brush, you can create an instant smoky eye with Blacquer, or any other smoky Highliner shade, such as Ro(cocoa) or (Stone)fox.
- Brighten and enlarge eyes by applying In The Buff! at the inner corners of the eyes and along the waterline.
- You can also use it as an impromptu luminizer to highlight the temples, brow bone, and the high part of the cheekbones.
- Use high liner as an eyeshadow base by blending it across the entire lid. Layer it under Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Eyeshadow to create dimensional color.

Packaging: The pencil comes packaged in a black and white cardboard box. The pencil itself has a reflective casing. It’s a twist-up pencil with a sharpener at the end to enable you to bring the tip back to a point, in case it becomes blunt. The outer casing has a color coordinated band in the middle, which helps you identify the product easily. However, when you have more than a dozen of pencils (let’s not go there :P), standing in a holder, the coloured band becomes totally invisible since its not at the end. So, it does get difficult to locate the one you want.
My Experience with Marc Jacobs Intro(Vert) Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner:
Color: The shade “Introvert” is described on the website as a “mermaid green with shimmer.” It’s a beautiful emerald green with fine silver sparkle in it. It’s really pretty and very eye-catching (no pun intended!) The colour is distinct and quite unique. I didn’t really have this bright a green in my kitty. If you are shy of wearing colored eyeliners, I would not suggest you to start with a colour this bright.
Texture: The texture is quite smooth though I wouldn’t term it creamy. It swatches decently on the hand; however, on the eyes, it feels dry. The good thing is that the shimmer does not add any grittiness to the shade. It does not feel uncomfortable, even on the waterline, despite the fine shimmer particles. The shimmer actually adds dimension to the colour.
Pigmentation: This aspect of the product was bit of a bummer, especially, considering the price point. The pigmentation is not too great, which may be because it’s not too emollient.
One swipe does not give enough color, you have to go over the area a couple of times. However, the shade is buildable and does show up distinctly post a few swipes.
Staying Power: So, once the colour does build up, it pretty much stays put the whole day. There is no smudging or shifting of the product. It gives a good 8-hour plus wear time and stays put even on the waterline. Since it is waterproof, you will need an oil-based makeup remover to take it off completely.

Cons of Marc Jacobs Intro(Vert) Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner:
- Low on pigmentation, you do need a couple of swipes to build it up, but once done, it stays put.

This shade is absolutely stunning and very unique. It would be a must-have in the stash of someone who loves green. However, the quality of the product isn’t really top notch. I do have a couple more shades from this range and feel that each colour in the range performs differently. The range lacks consistency in the quality of product being put out.
