This review will be on the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in the shade “Orange Crush.” I have also reviewed the shade “Lollipop” earlier which was a bright pink shade.

My Experience with Marc Jacobs Orange Crush Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner:

Packaging:  Marc Jacobs’s products have such simplistic sleek practical packaging. The outer body of the eyeliner is a reflective metal tube. The shade of the eyeliner is clearly shown on the tube which makes it very easy to spot your shade among other similar eyeliners that you might have in your collection. The eyeliner is retractable, but it also has a sharpener at the end on the eyeliner, which is quite handy if your tip is worn down.

Texture/Pigmentation/Shade:  This eyeliner applies super smooth and does not tug, which is great when you are working on the delicate eye area. It has great pigmentation and shows up with good intensity in 1-2 swipes. The shade “Orange Crush” is described as a deep orange shimmer. It is a gorgeous coral orange shade with golden and some pink shimmers throughout. The shimmers are not chunky and do not feel harsh on the skin. It gives a beautiful depth and dimension to the color.  Though the shimmers do not make this an ideal product to put on the waterline, but as an eyeliner and eyeshadow, it works beautifully.

This shade gives a gorgeous pop of color and looks very summery and goes so well when paired with warm-toned eye makeup looks.

Staying Power:  This eyeliner is truly long wearing. It sets quickly and does not budge or fade for 8 hours, which is basically the whole day for me. The shimmers stay put and do not travel all over the face. The eyeliner gets easily removed with an eye makeup remover.

Overall, I am truly impressed with this product. Marc Jacobs did an amazing job with this eyeliner. They are so creamy, easy to use, deliver amazing pigmentation and I am in love with shades I have. I would absolutely recommend this.

In the EOTD, I have used “Orange Crush” on the lower lash line to complement a warm pale gold and orange-coral eye look created Viseart Sultry muse eye palette (review coming soon).

I have also used this along with the shade “Lollipop” from the same range to create this two-tone eyeliner look.

• Easy to remove with an eye makeup remover.

Cons of Marc Jacobs Orange Crush Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner:

• The shimmers do not make this ideal for using on waterline.
• Expensive.
