How to Use : Before bed (after cleansing, toning, and moisturizing) dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Apply a dab of this lotion directly on the whitehead. Do not rub in. Let it dry and rinse off in the morning. DO NOT shake the bottle; if contents get shaken during packing and delivery, place the bottle on a flat surface until the layers separate and the pink sediment rests on the bottom.
My Experience with Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
I have always been curious about Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Since I have normal to dry skin, I don’t have major acne issues so I never bothered picking it up. But with constant travelling and trying our various products, I do get a nasty pimple popping every now and then. And esp during the periods, I end up getting these little pops on my skin at al the wrong places. Grrr.. So I always keep one of these spot treatments handy with me.
During a recent London trip, I had these two nasty breakouts on just below the side of the lip and one on my left cheek. The one under the lip was actually with a whitehead (TMI)#gross. I started using another spot treatment but it was just not working. I thought I’d give this a shot. I dipped a q-tip in the pink sediment and applied it on both the pimples at night. It dries like a tooth paste. I was surprised to see my face in the morning. The one pimple below the lip had completely gone and the one on the cheek was reduced to almost 70%. I used the drying lotion again the next night and by next morning the pimple on my cheek had also gone and there was no spot left behind. I have used a couple of spot treatments before as well but this turned out to be brillliant.I am completely sold out on this one.
I would not call it a treatment for acne but if you end up having random breakouts every now and then, this is a fabulous product.I think everyone needs to have this in their kit. Especially with bride-to-be they end up getting so stressed so you could always use this as a last minute rescue. It would need a night or a two or even more depending on how bad your pimple is but honestly, this stuff works. It is a very powerful lotion and you do feel a bit of tingling when you put it but it is not bothersome at all. And once the lotion dries, you cannot feel anything at all. I would highly recommend it to everyone. It is safe to use on all skin types. Get your hands on it whenever you can. While travelling the mixture might get all mixed up but once you let it sit on a flat surface for a while, the lotion separates and comes back to its original state.
