Marks & Spencer Eastern Escape Cherry Scented Lip Butter Review

Hello…

Am back again with another review, again a loving gift from an adorable sister. We can never have enough lip balms, can we? And trying different brands and flavors are always fun. I am not a big fan of fruity smell when it comes to makeup/skincare but this was a gift so no complains, you see.

My experience with Marks & Spencer Eastern Escape Cherry Scented Lip Butter:

The whole range of Eastern Escape comes in this pastel mint green packaging. There are cute graphics on the front and there is whole lot of information at the back. The black plastic cap is sturdy enough and is sealed with the price tag. Though there is whole lot of product, but the tube is regular in size which can be easily chucked in your makeup pouch.

The texture of the lip butter is more like oil. Now I have no idea if that is to be blamed to already hot Chennai climate. But it is not much of an issue as the texture helps the butter to glide on well on the lips. Only a single swipe on the lips give required smoothness and hydration to the lips. The slanted tip helps in even application of the balm.

There is no tint or shimmer to the balm so it can be easily applied on top or below any lipstick, without altering the shade; yes there is a bit of glossy shine, which can be avoided by blotting with a tissue. The hydration provided lasts for around 4-5 hours without much to eat or drink in-between. When applied at night before bedtime, the moisture stays till the morning though the glossiness vanishes.
The smell is definitely like cherry and lingers on for a while before disappearing, but fortunately it is not heavily scented; it is mild, so it does not disturb the over sensitive noses. You have to apply repeatedly if you are looking to heal chapped lips, but for regular everyday hydration, applying 2-3 times is enough.
