Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioner

The wait for good shampoo and good conditioner never really ends, especially during winter, when the hair goes frizzy and dry.  Last year, I decided to give Matrix shampoos and conditioners a try.

Matrix conditioner

My Take on Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioner:

It has a nice botanical fragrance which lingers on for quite some time after washing the hair.  It is creamy and rich in texture, a little goes a long way.  This conditioner makes my hair smooth and tames away the frizz.  I used to apply it after shampooing my hair with Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Shampoo which is very moisturizing and noticed that the day when I washed and conditioned my hair, it looked great but my hair turned a little oily the next day itself. So, I assume that it must be good for those who have extremely dry hair.

Since it is very creamy, it makes my hair limp during summer and not just the conditioner, but the Ultra Hydrating shampoo too is heavy for me during summer.

Matrix conditioner

So, I have decided that I will use the Ultra Hydrating range only during winter and swear by Dove for rest of the year : )

Pros of Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioner:

  • Nice botanical fragrance.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Not so expensive.
  • Results in smooth hair.
  • Controls the frizz.

Cons of Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioner:

  • Hair turns greasy the next day itself.
  • Heavy conditioner (not too good for summer).

Will I Buy Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioner Again?

Yes, but only during the winter.

    1. They have a hydrating one with avocado oil or something. I used it a couple of months ago and liked it but couldn’t find it again. Rather hard to find but not a bad one.

  6. I have this conditioner. :woot: :woot: :woot: It’s superb for chemically treated hair. It never lets my perm get frizzy and keeps my hair smooth. :pigtail: :happydance: 😀 However, I don’t know how effective it will be once I get my normal hair back. I may turn them greasy. :idk:
