How to use:

1. Apply Giant Pen Stick directly onto the lips – there’s no need to use a lip liner first – you get it all-in-one.
2. The pigmentation is really strong, and it glides on, so there is no need to go over the lips repeatedly – just sweep the color across.
3. When the end is slightly softer, blend it on for a dewy look, or create total definition by sharpening the end to a fine point.

My experience with MaxFactor Color Elixir Giant Pen Stick – Designer Blossom

MaXFactor Color Elixir Giant Pen Stick is a lip product in a crayon variety. These were launched last year with 6 beautiful shades as mentioned above. Personally, I feel crayon pencils can easily be managed and tucked into your vanity bag conveniently.

The packaging is fairly simple, comes with a plastic lid and the colored end represents the stick color. These sticks are neither chubby nor thin. They are a decent size to manage. You have to sharpen these sticks.

Formula wise these sticks are like balm texture hence glide on effortlessly. The pigmentation is also quite good. This stick doesn’t have any fragrance. So those people who are uncomfortable with fragranced lipsticks can opt for these sticks.

Now about the shade, Designer Blossom is a beautiful red shade with a pink undertone. But it’s not a bright red. There are other options available if you want a deeper red. Finally, the staying power on my lips- it lasted for about 4 hours. At the time of fading, it leaves stain on the lips.
It hydrates your lips completely. And the pencil is really creamy and soft so you need to be careful not to apply too much pressure while application; you might damage the tip. Its creamy consistency enables a quick application for a more natural look, but if you want more definition, you can sharpen the pencil to a fine point and also use it to line your lips.

To sum it up this lip crayon has the right mixture for staying power, creaminess and pigmentation without feeling too sticky or glossy.

Yes definitely as I believe that overall. This is a wonderful product. I love the shade, pigmentation, moisturizing effect and lastly the quality of these pencils. Truly a handbag worthy lip product! I already have them on my list. I would recommend it to all of you who don’t like colored lip glosses or for those days when you are just too lazy to wear lipstick but would still like some quick color and shine.
