This is my first review on a lip product. I was never into lipsticks. Till last year, I only used to apply lip balms (not even glosses), but after becoming an avid reader of IMBB, I built up this urge to have them all. Continue reading to know more about this product.
For instant fabulous colour and smoother, softer* lips over time look no further than Max Factor’s new Colour Elixir Lipstick. The Elixir formula contains a 60% blend of skin emollients, conditioners and antioxidants including vitamin E, for a visible transformation in the look and feel of your lips. As you apply the Colour Elixir Lipstick, it actively moisturises and smoothes lips. Enjoy rich and gorgeous looking colour on smooth, beautiful lips!

My take on Maxfactor Colour Elixir Lipstick: Scarlet Ghost 720
I love bright shades in reds, pinks and corals, although being dusky in complexion; I cannot afford to wear any shade. But then my cousin’s wedding happened, and I had to buy one bright color that would suit my skin tone (guess I was just looking for an excuse). So finally I bought this gorgeous shade in red (never thought I would buy one).
So initially the SA started with purple and plum shades for trial. But once I tried this one on, I knew I had to buy it. This lipstick has extremely soft and creamy formula which glides smoothly/easily on the lips. Initially it gives a shiny appearance to the lips, but once set it turns into a matte finish. I just love matte lipsticks and this one is a great one to choose from.
It is quite moisturising and I do not recommend usage of a lip balm underneath this as it may tend to bleed. One should use a lip liner to define the outline before using such bright colors. It is highly pigmented and the color is so intense that you need only 1-2 swipes of it.
The staying power is awesome, it stays on for a very long time (more than one can expect) and does not require touch-ups. So these lippies are perfect for both day and night outings. Also the other thing I liked about it is that it does not transfer much (although a little bit) and does not fade away even after eating.
Overall I totally love this product. The shade is gorgeous and suits me well without making me look like a clown….:D (with those big red lips).
