Hello beautiful ladies,
I have used lip liners during my school days but all those were from some local brand. So, after a long time I was craving to try lip liners but from a reputed brand. When I saw this lip liner in a beauty e-commerce site immediately I added it to my cart and brought it home. Let’s read on to know how it fared on me.
There really is no better way to get that ‘precise’ look the professionals create in seconds.
Luckily, Max Factor Gold Lipliner has the perfect texture for easy application – firm enough to quickly and neatly draw around your lips yet soft enough to be gentle on the surrounding skin.
Use it this way:
Gold Lipliner gives your lips the shape they need to look fuller and more perfect before applying your lipstick – chose a colour one shade lighter than your lipstick for a high fashion finish.

My Take on Max Factor Gold Lipliner – Ruby:
When I ordered this, the other lip liners were out of stock from this range and this colour looked like an appealing pink in the website. Yeah I was totally sold off to this colour but was disappointed when I swatched it. It appeared as a dull mauvish pink to me. The outer band of the lipliner looks little dark to the colour in the pencil. I have pigmented lips so I can nowhere apply it on my lips unless I want to appear ghastly. The problem with this lipliner is it is so light in colour that if we apply it as an outline to lips then due to the natural dark outline of lips it looks artificial. Maybe it would look great on fair skin with non-pigmented lips.
For quite some time I forgot about this lip liner; later, when I was rummaging my makeup stash that was when I thought why not to blend it with my lips by filling it. So this is what I did. I applied lip balm and after one minute or so outlined my lips using this liner then rubbed my lips together to smudge then topped it off with a sheer lipgloss. The result is a healthy pretty pink making my lips to look more natural. But make sure your lips are well exfoliated or else it will settle in any dry areas of the lips making it look awful. I generally use this when I want to go for a complete khol-eyed look. Max Factor Gold Lipliner is very creamy but not moisturizing. It is not at all difficult to apply and is completely snag-free. It has an awesome staying power of more than 5 hours when applied with the lip balm. And I even found it stays better when used alone as a lipliner which would be great for non-pigmented lips. This lipliner needs to be sharpened frequently since it is creamy, the tip becomes smaller soon once used and there is also lot of product wastage. I would like if they bring it in twist up packaging in future.
Pros of Max Factor Gold Lipliner – Ruby:
• Soft and very creamy texture.
• Dull yet intense colour payoff.
• Stays for more than 5 hours.
• Gives a healthy look to lips when used with chapstick.
Cons of Max Factor Gold Lipliner – Ruby:
• Gives patchy look to dry lips or when used without lip balm.
• Expensive for a lipliner.
• Not in a retractable form.
• Product wastage due to sharpening.
• Looks very light on pigmented lips.
Will I Repurchase Max Factor Gold Lipliner – Ruby?
I wouldn’t buy this particular colour again but would love to try some darker shade of lipliner from Max Factor mainly because of its creaminess and staying power. But I would highly recommend this lipliner to beauties who have non-pigmented lips.
