MaxFactor Lipfinity Colour & Gloss 580 Crystal Bronze Review

Hello lovely readers,

Today, I am going to review this gorgeous lip color and gloss called Crystal Bronze from my stash for all of you. The lip color belongs to Max Factor’s Non Transfer lipfinity Color and Gloss range. As the name suggests, it has lip color on its one end and a gloss on another. Read on to know why it’s worth all your hard earned bucks.

My experience with Max Factor Lipfinity Color and Gloss in shade Crystal Bronze:

Shade: To begin with, I really don’t know why they have named this shade as Crystal Bronze as the lip color is such a lovely peachy-brown nude. Though, the gloss is true to its name crystal-y and has micro small silver shimmer. To be frank, I am in head over heels for the color part of this product as it is a perfect nude for my skin tone but, somehow I feel like the gloss is a bit frosty and doesn’t look so flattering with the lip color. To overcome this dilemma, I like to top this lip color with my gloss from Revlon’s Colorburst range in the shade buff which has already been reviewed on IMBB.

Texture and pigmentation:The texture of the color is just perfect. It’s not runny, doesn’t feather or bleed but, it does settle into fine lines and is super duper drying when used without a lip balm. As for the pigmentation, it is fairly pigmented and color pay-off is great. This color gives adequate coverage to my pigmented lips. The gloss is however, very sticky. In my opinion, it is made like that in order to make it last long. Also, the lip gloss that came with this color is quite sheer and doesn’t provide any coverage on its own.

Packaging: The packaging of this product remind me of Oriflame’s very me click-it connectors. It is in the form of a sleek thin cylinder with lip gloss at one end and the lip color at the other. The body is made up of plastic, is sturdy and travel friendly. I have dropped it in past a couple of times and nothing bad has ever happened to it so far. The body of the product is transparent so you can easily locate the shade that you are looking for. It also has a sticker pasted on bottom of the gloss indicating the shade. The thing that I didn’t like about this product is that it didn’t come in a cardboard outer pack.

Fragrance: It has a faint vanilla fragrance to it which disappears in a minute or two after application.

Applicator: The applicator is a regular doe-foot one. I sometimes find it quite difficult to tackle with it as when I swipe the color more than once on my lips it starts getting a bit uneven. However, I think that must be because of the matte texture of the color.

Staying power: Now, the major advantage of having this product is that it stays for on and on, survives meals too. It may fade a little after 4-5 hours but nothing major. Also, it’s too difficult to remove this lip color completely. I really have to rub it vigorously to get it off my mouth. This is a bit irritating if you want to use this color and gloss on a daily basis but, I generally wear it to attend functions or on the days when I feel I won’t have much time for touch-ups.

Now summing up the pros and cons,

Pros of Max Factor Lipfinity Color and Gloss:

• Travel-friendly
• Stays on and on for hours
• Affordable for quantity and quality
• Pretty nude shade
• Intense pigmentation and great color pay-off
• Fragrance disappears quickly
• Lives up to its claim of being transfer proof. Lip gloss transfers a bit though.

Cons of Max Factor Lipfinity Color and Gloss:

• The color may wash out some skin tones.
• Super drying without a lip balm.
• Difficult to remove.
Apart from this I don’t find any major con with this product.

IMBB rating- 4.5/5
