I actually picked this up a month ago and when she showed it to me, I saw how high the SPF and PA was. Because of that, I immediately went to the drugstore to pick one up. Tested it, tried it and here’s my thoughts on it. Enjoy reading! 🙂

My Take On Maybelline Clear Smooth 8 in 1 High Protection BB Cream Anti UV BB White:

First out of all things, this product offers SPF 50 PA +++ which is a crazy high amount of UVB and UVA protection. It’s impossible not to be attracted by this. Texture wise, it’s not firm but it’s pretty runny. When applied on the skin, it feels water like and has a slight cooling effect. It’s easy to spread on skin and blending isn’t a problem either. It’s very hydrating on the skin and it does even your skin tone. It provides medium to high coverage and I’d say that it’s great at covering dark spots too. I’d use this and it actually concealed most of my dark circles, I didn’t have to apply a huge amount of concealer after using this.

However this does sit on dry patches, fine lines and wrinkles. While it does smooth your pores, it’s only from afar. When it’s up close, your pores are noticeable. It does appear cakey on the skin and that’s an absolute nightmare. This also doesn’t help to conceal pimples, pimple scars or acne scars but in turn, it’ll bring unwanted attention to those areas. This is lightweight on the skin and it doesn’t clog the pores. So far, I’ve had no breakouts, irritation, redness and etc from this. Did I mention that it’s oil-free and fragrance free? It is. But it’s not suitable for all skin types. I’d say that girls with dry skin shouldn’t use this and those whom suffer from large pores too, you’re better off with CC Cream or Foundation.
This does last me for more than 6 hours without a makeup primer with minimal fading but with a makeup primer, it stays all day long. However this isn’t waterproof or sweatproof and it will come off with a touch of water or if you sweat a little too much.

The packaging is small, slim and makeup bag friendly. It won’t take up too much space in your makeup bag and the cap is a twisting one but it’s sturdy and tight so no messes to clean and no disasters.

• Appears cakey on the skin.
• Not suitable for dry skin.
• Doesn’t conceal pimples, pimple scars and acne scars but makes it look obvious.
• Not waterproof or sweatproof.

Would I repurchase Maybelline Clear Smooth 8 in 1 High Protection BB Cream Anti UV BB White?
No, I wouldn’t. It’s not my cup of tea and especially since it brings attention to my pores, that’s a huge no. I’m better off with CC Cream.
