My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Gleaming Grenadine:

I wanted to try Maybelline High Shine lip glosses since the second it launched in India, but something was stopping me. I am not much into lip glosses nowadays because of the shine, shimmer and stickiness and prefer lipsticks and lip tints much more than glosses. In spite of all this, it got impossible for me to resist this urge of buying these glosses for more than a few weeks and ultimately, one fine day, when I was too tired of work, I knew I had to order this to cheer me up. I ordered just a single shade though I liked three shades because the other were out of stock ;-P

Maybelline High Shine lip glosses come in a rectangular packaging with a silver cap and transparent body. The transparent packaging helps to identify the gloss easily and also gives an idea about the quantity left. The only thing present on the packaging is a label mentioning the quantity and shade and I am sure this label will peel off in a day or two. The packaging is, in fact, quite boring but still it is sturdy, travel friendly and leak proof.

Gleaming Grenadine is a bright red color with a hint of pink to it, you know something similar to watermelon. The color is definitely very pretty and will suit all skin tones very well. This color is a must have if you like glosses and reds. It has some shimmer in it but it is hardly visible on lips. This is a perfect color for parties. It is a good choice if you are experimenting with makeup and want to venture into reds. I love this color.

The pigmentation is great, considering it is a gloss. A single swipe gives you enough red for the day and if you are going to a party or you want to try it in the night, two swipes is all you need. It covers the pigmentation of my lips in a single swipe. It stays on my lips for about 3 hours with slight meals and after 3 hours, the watermelon tint stays on my lips for another 2 hours. The stickiness is very less as compared to other glosses. It has a slanted, flat applicator and it helps in very smooth application of the gloss. There is no need to apply a lip balm beneath it because I found the gloss to be quite moisturising.
