Hope you guys are doing great!! Today, I am going to review one of my recent purchases, Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss in the shade Cranberry Cocktail.

My Take on Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss – Cranberry Cocktail:

The shade I got is Cranberry Cocktail (605). The color is a beautiful cranberry red with a multi-color shimmer to it, but the shimmer is absolutely not over the top. I even wear this gloss during day time and it looks good. The packaging is good, totally leak proof. It comes with a transparent body and a sturdy metal cap. The consistency of the gloss is not too runny or sticky. It does not dry out my lips at all. Even if I am skipping my regular lip balm, my lips still manage to look supple with this gloss alone.

The pigmentation is also decent, gives good coverage to my pigmented lips even with a single swipe. The only concern would be the staying power, as it would hardly last for an hour or two on me, but again, this is common for all the lip glosses.

It has a faint fruity smell, but nothing artificial or strong. Also, it gives a cool-mint-ish kind of a feeling on application that lasts for a minute or two. I kind of like that . It comes with a regular doe-foot applicator that does a good job by picking the right quantity and gives an even coverage.

Pros of Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss – Cranberry Cocktail:

The quantity, especially for the price it is coming for.
The packaging is decent and absolutely no spillage.
10 beautiful shades to pick your favorite one from.
Quite moisturizing and leaves a nice finish on the lips.
The consistency is great, not too runny or sticky and glides well on the lips.
Decently pigmented.
No weird fragrance.

Cons of Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss – Cranberry Cocktail:

Except for the staying power (1-2 hours), I really don’t have anything against this.

Yay! I have this too! To me it seems like a rust red… And I like topping it over cool toned red lipsticks to warm them up. Nice review jyotsna!

i so want to get it .. how easily available is this, coz with maybelline a lot of SAs when they run out of a shade say, o tht shade does not come to india, or is discontinued, i wonder if the SAs are trained in fibbing..
