Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow – Eternal Gold

Hi Dearies,

Today, I thought of reviewing Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade “Eternal Gold.” This is one amongst the seven shades which got released in UK.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow Eternal Gold Review

What Maybelline Claims about 24 Hr Color Tattoo Eye Shadows:

Dare to wear NEW Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel eye shadow.  With up to 24HR staying power. Popping colour that glides on.  Get inked! Our technology creates super -saturated shadow.  Cream Gel smooth’s on for vibrant colour that does not fade.

Eternal Gold

Packaging and Price:

Comes in a small, round tub kind of packaging similar to MAC Paint Pot.

Eternal Gold

In UK, only 7 shades are available and I bought mine from Boots website with a price tag of 4.99 GBP; I bought the shade Eternal Gold.  In US, its Bold Gold.

Eternal Gold

Shelf Life:

24 months.

My Take on Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow – Eternal Gold:

These are cream/gel kind of eyeshadows that are supposed to stay up to 24 hours without creasing or fading.  When I first heard this; I was amused, who wears eyeshadow up to 24 hours, but this color tempted me like anything.  The shade is almost similar to “Half Baked” in UD Palette.  The consistency is creamy; not very creamy, but still smoother :)

Eternal Gold

These dry down very quickly, so if you want to blend out the edges really seamlessly, I would recommend working on one eye at a time.

Eternal Gold

I bought only one shade out of the seven shades which got released in UK; it can be purchased online or from the stores, from all Superdrug as well as Boots outlets across UK.

Eternal Gold is a kind of medium gold shade.  This can be used as an eye shadow base or as an eyeliner or as you wish.  It is highly pigmented and even though it looks shimmery, doesn’t show up that glittery, but still, its superb and wearable.  I like to wear this alone as it really enhances the eye area which I like.

Eternal Gold

To my surprise, after wearing this, I noticed that it stays there forever.  I tried to touch it with my hands and I felt it was kind of fixed.  It doesn’t fade or crease at all, perfect!  I am planning to buy more shades now, I am impressed with the staying power :) I really recommend this eyeshadow.

Pros of Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow – Eternal Gold:

  • Highly pigmented.
  • Long lasting.
  • Doesn’t irritate the eye area.
  • Excellent packaging.
  • Shelf life is mentioned.
  • Doesn’t crease or fade.
  • Can be used as an eye shadow base or liner as well.
  • Great value for money.

Cons of Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow – Eternal Gold:

  • Not all shades available in UK (only 7 shades are available here in UK).
  • No ingredient list is mentioned on the package.
  • Dries quickly, so be very quick while blending.

Can’t think of any other cons, I really like this and I will surely purchase all the shades :)
