This saucy, creamy lip balm comes in as usual transparent tube packaging with bronze-silver cap. It has a heavenly vanilla smell which lingers on for few minutes. Over all, an absolutely travel friendly and classic packaging.

My Experience with Maybelline Colorsensational Color Elixir Intoxicating Spice Lip Color :

Well, the shade “Intoxicating Spice” seems subtle cinnamon mixed with brick brown to me with earthy wine hue and hence, I call it mera wala “Marsala”. It amplifies my skin tone gracefully with that subtle earthy wine brownish non shimmery hue which looks really gorgeous with that glossy touch on lips. I am wearing this shade almost every day irrespective of occasions as I can’t take my eyes off mirror while wearing it on my lips. Probably, this is my most favorite shade this year even before my red lip colors. Can you imagine!!

The texture of Maybelline color elixir is unbeatable as we all know. They are quite saucy, non-sticky and glossy to give that fuller lips effect with wearable pigmentation which is a win win for every beauty except few shades which might be tricky on pigmented lips.

I love the fact that these color elixirs forgive little dry patchy lips with their balmy texture without accentuating any further issues. Moreover, it does not bleed on lips even with multiple swipes. This particular “Intoxicating Spice” gives quite glossy, creamy and semi-opaque finish to my lips. Hence I feel it would be suitable for light pigmented lips as well though it would be tricky for deep pigmented lips.

The wear time of this shade is quite good for 4-8 hours depending upon person to person. Like it managed to stay on my lips for good 5+ hours even with light meals while it does fade a bit with heavy lunch/dinner. Though, it is still visible on my lips with that glossy sheen which stays out for good hours without looking odd.

It is easily removable with any basic oil and mild wash. I am pretty sure this shade will be most worn shade considering its resemblance to “Marsala” which is quite wearable by any age group unlike actual wine red hue which is supposed to be an old lady or a bridal shade (according to me).. 😛  I would definitely get it again & again.

• A saucy brick brown lip color with hints of wine red shade which pretty much resembles to “Marsala” shade of year.
• It is quite wearable shade with more glossy creamy sheen than intense pigmented color.
• It absolutely enhances my natural skin tone. Hence, a must have for every age groups and skin tone beauties.
• The finish is semi-opaque with subtle pigmentation and glossy hue which make it suitable for even light-medium pigmented lips.
• The wear time is quite decent 5+ hours with light meal and water/tea break.
• It forgives little dryness and patchy skin with its ultra buttery texture and saucy creamy finish on lips.
• It neither bleeds on lips not it settles in fine lines of my lips.
• It gives nice fuller lips effect with that glossy hue which stays put for good hours.
• It’s hydrating as long as it stays on the lips with no sticky feel at all.
• I do not need lip balm for hours post removing this shade off lips.
• A user friendly, travel friendly and equally attractive packaging.

Cons of Maybelline Colorsensational Color Elixir Intoxicating Spice Lip Color:

• It may be tricky for deep pigmented lips.
• It might be too subtle for dark lip lovers.

Well, apart from these minor cons I don’t have any reason to regret this purchase and I whole heartedly recommend this shade to all of you. If you still shy away from “Marsala” then try this “Intoxicating Spice” and you will love how it looks on your beautiful gorgeous skin. I can’t get over my love for this shade as of now. I love it! I want to get it again & again even if it is not a Marsala.
