Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick – Velvet Crush Review

How is the weather treating you all? In Kolkata, the weather has gone crazy, on alternate days, it gets chill and warm. Continuing with my winter special lip colors, today, I am going to review “Velvet Crush” from Maybelline Moisture Extreme range. This is a pinkish brown color with mauve undertones and red frosty sparkles. The sparkles are not over the top and add glow to the color.

Packaging:

Maybelline Velvet Crush comes in normal bullet packaging with outer cover indicating the shade range. The lipstick is quite compact and easy to carry around in your handbag. The lipstick shuts with a click, so no chance of spoiling your lipstick or bag while carrying this.

Finish:

True to its name and claim, Maybelline Velvet Crush is a moisturizing lipstick and gives a sophisticated look to your lips. You can even wear it to your office on Fridays, I guess people dress up a little bit more on Fridays and Saturdays.  You need not apply your balm beneath; the lipstick will take care of the moisturization part.

Pigmentation:

Very good pigmentation. You glide it once on your lips and you are good to go. The color is so very pigmented that you need not swipe again and again to build on the color. This aspect has impressed me a lot.

Staying Power:

Stays for 2-3 hours depending on the food you take. The color will transfer to your tea cups or coffee mugs and will vanish after one meal, blame it on the super creamy texture. Again, Maybelline Velvet Crush will not leave any stain behind which is a good thing for me. I do not mind re-applying the lipstick as it is superbly moisturizing.

My Experience with Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick – Velvet Crush:

I have pretty good experience with this range from Maybelline. The color pay-off, texture are all upto my liking. This color in particular will suit almost all skin tones. Though it might look too dark in the bullet, but on the lips, it is a gorgeous shade. Girls who are around my skin tone definitely should check out this color, I don’t think you will give it a miss. Fairer girls, please try at the counter before purchasing.

• Transfers easily.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick – Velvet Crush?

Recommend, yes of course! Repurchase? Not sure when I will finish this, might try some other color from the same family.
