After reviewing the shade “Fuchsia Ecstasy” from the newly-launched Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid lipsticks, I am reviewing the shade “Electric Pink” today. So, read on further to find out more about this lip color.

For Best Results:
Step 1: Apply your Maybelline matte liquid color by starting in the center of your upper lip.
Step 2: Work from the center to the outer edges, and then follow the contours of your mouth.
Step 3: Glide the matte liquid color across the entire bottom lip.
My Experience with Maybelline Electric Pink Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color:
Packaging: This liquid lipstick comes in a transparent rectangular tube with a black cap. The packaging is pretty simple yet effective. The cap is a screw-on type and hence there is no danger of it coming off loose. The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker at the bottom.
The applicator sponge is pretty long and flat. It picks up a decent amount of the product. It is easy to use and makes the application precise and quick.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Electric Pink” appears a neon pink in the tube and the hand swatch. However, it does not appear all that neon on the lips. It looks a pretty Barbie pink on the lips. I personally liked the shade but it might not appeal to all.
The lipstick is strongly pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover the lips. I would recommend avoiding layering because liquid lipsticks tend to clump if layered.
Texture/Finish: This is a liquid lipstick and has a creamy texture. It is not very runny and spreads easily on the lips.
This range is advertised as matte, but the lipstick does not dry down completely and remains slightly wet throughout its wear time. It has a pretty glossy finish.
The lipstick feels comfortable and lightweight on the lips and does not feel drying. It does not highlight any dry patches, but I would still recommend exfoliating lips before application. I did not notice any feathering with this shade, but I would recommend using a lip liner.
The lipstick has a faint scent but nothing too overpowering. The good part is that the scent doesn’t stay on for long once applied.
Lasting Power: Since this lipstick is not truly matte, it does transfer. It lasts on me for around 4-5 hours depending on what I am snacking/drinking.
Pros of Maybelline Electric Pink Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color:
- Lovely pink shade.
- Creamy texture which glides smoothly on the lips.
- Strong pigmentation.
- Does not feel drying on the lips.
- Does not highlight any dry patches.
Cons of Maybelline Electric Pink Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lip Color:
- Does not have a matte finish as advertised.
- Average staying power.

If you like liquid lipsticks with a glossy sheen, you may try it out, but it is wrong to call it a matte lipstick.
I will not repurchase the exact same shade.
