I have been MIA for a very long time. Lot of exciting things happened and I pretty much got busy with my new responsibility as a mom. It took a while for me to get a hang of things and I’m finally settling down and trying to adjust to the fast paced working mom life.  I’m reviewing a new love from drugstore – Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliner in Bold Brown.

How To Use:

Start in the inner corner of lid and line along the lash line following the contour of your eye. Extend liner slightly beyond top lash line. For added drama, apply in and along lower lash line from inner corner to outer corner.

My Experience with Maybelline Eye Studio Master Drama Cream Pencil Eyeliner – Bold Brown:

As a new mom, I rarely get 3-4 hours of sleep at a stretch. My eyes look droopy and dull due to lack of sleep. Eyeliner and concealer are my must-haves to look presentable and more awake. I have always used high-end eyeliners for my waterline due to the fact that my eyes are sensitive and watery, but I decided to give Maybelline a shot as I love their gel eyeliners and their quality is almost comparable to the high-end products.

Packaging:  This product twists up vs being sharped, which is a major plus as there is no wastage that results from sharpening. The body of the eyeliner is made of plastic, so you can notice cracks on the caps too soon. One more flaw of packaging is that once you twist the product out, you cannot retract it back, so make sure to twist whatever is needed.

Color and Pigmentation:  Off late, I have been using brown to waterline and tight line my eyes as it is not as harsh as black and doesn’t accentuate the dark under eye circles. As the shade name suggests, it’s a very dark brown, almost close to black, but not as harsh as black. This is not a matte shade, there is a slight bronzey effect to the color, but it doesn’t show any sort of shimmer in the waterline, but it’s slightly noticeable when applied on the eyelids.

This product gives an awesome pigmentation in just one swipe and the consistency is very smooth and creamy, just feels like a gel gliding smoothly on the eyes.

Texture:  This has a very smooth texture and glides like a dream without tugging on the eyes.

Staying Power:  This product stays put on the eyes for almost the whole day. It doesn’t bleed and give raccoon eyes. The eyeliner doesn’t get dry and flake off during the day.

This product can be easily smudged before it is set, so it can be very well used for to achieve a flawless smokey eye. Once set, the product doesn’t budge. Also this product doesn’t irritate sensitive eyes.

Though this product is water resistant, it is easy to remove using cleansing water or makeup remover.

• Cheap packaging – easily cracks and once the product is twisted up, it cannot be retracted back.
• Not a matte brown shade.

Overall, I love this product and will recommend this to anyone who is looking for a very creamy and gel-textured eyeliner for a fraction of price. I’m definitely going to repurchase it again and again.
