Maybelline Eyestudio Vivid & Smooth Liner Pencils Swatches, Shades

These days I’m not buying much of the powder eye-shadows ever since I came across these beauties. Yes, The Maybelline Eyestudio pencils. They are just soo versatile. I use them not only to line my eyes ,I also use them as cream shadows. More-over, since they don’t smudge easily, I find them crease-proof as eye-shadows as well. Anyway, Bulbul has already done a review of these liner. So, I need not go over this again. I have a few more colors. In case you want to buy, you can take a look at my swatches.

I have got only 5. I have the green in common with bulbul. My colors are, from left to right-white. green, golden, sky-blue and dark royal blue.

Of these except for the sky-blue I love all the colors. A closer look at the nibs. Sorry guys, my camera sensor was acting funny so couldn’t focus that well. Besides my pencils, especially the blue one looks messy because I had used it as n eye-shadow. However the swatches are clean. A closer look at the nibs.

I use the white one on my water line. I find it strange that so many of you experienced stinging sensation. However, I had no such experience with these and I Do use them on my water line. I had also received two of the white liners as a free gift which I gave to my sister and the friend on whom I had done my tutorial.. Neither of them complained. I understand products react different on different individuals as this might be a case.

I love the green. There is no adjective which can sum up my liking. The gold one is also great. Not too intense, orange or yellow. Just the right proportion for me., but I hate the sky-blue. It’s not pale enough to look white on my water-line yet, too pale on my eye-lids and end up looking ashy or some kind of colorless liner. Next is the blue which is quite a nice color. As a browned eyed woman, blue ought to flatter me and I think it does. But I’m still fond of greens.

No more talking. Here is the swatch. Please take a look and let me know which colors you like best.

  2. Nivedita,

The blue one is really nice. I read somewhere, Wearing white eye pencil on one’s waterline make the eyes appear big . Can you throw more light on this? is it true?

    1. Reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy Maitrayee…and what’s that for????!!!!

Oh and Sonam got all those comments thanks to the nekkid bottom poop emoticons by Maitrayee

  4. Dear NIvedita ..Sorry for being a zero in make up :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: but can these be used as an eye line as well as kajal?I would have preferred your pic wearing this instead of the swatches..gives bette idea…

      1. Hey Scarlett..I really did’nt understand whether I have written anything offensive..I only said that instead of a swatch a picture of somebody actually wearing the product gives a better understanding to the reader. It was like a suggestion….and as for the “zero in makeup” comment ,it was directed at me and not anybody else …
Dear Nivedita if you think I am giving any personal opinions about you,I am indeed really sorry!!!

            1. I didn’t understand..did I miss something. Sonam just called herself a makeup dodo zero kinds…what’s offensive in that? I call myself a makeup dodo all the time – I never realized I was offending anyone by that.. 😐 😐 😐

            2. Hehe Sonam, next time if you want makeup looks done a different way, just request instead of saying that ‘it would have been better that…’ 🙂

On the internet, people cannot see your gestures, only interpret you through words so just rephrase your meaning to avoid confusion 🙂

            3. Dear Sanjeev, actually it does’nt appear that the comment was directed at anybody else.Still I apologize… the episode has hurt me a lot

              1. Err… no need for Scarlett or you to apologize…

A little confusion and high tension can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

              2. Sonam :-* :-* :-* guess its a misunderstanding because of the nekkid bottom comment just before your comment…I think it was….and your comment seemed perfectly innocent to me :-* :-* :-* tell you what, you be best fraands with me and ignore everyone else

And that is how I steal ppl from IMBB to Mommbatti

              3. Sonam *hugss* It wasn’t your fault. Plus Miyatree was a hater, which we realized later after we went through her previous comments as well. Deleted her comments. :-*

  10. thanks for the review. Could you please write the price of maybelline pencil liners? I really find this blog helpful. And I am very much surprised that many foreign brands are of similar price ranges like that of indian brands like lakme. I wanted to know whether any brown liner is there which i can use on my waterline? After applying kajal it always gets smudged after a few minutes. I find revlon eyeliner pencil very good in this case. But i have only in black colour. 🙁
