My Experience with Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation:
I apply this foundation directly onto my face after washing it, applying toner and moisturizer. The foundation has a little center circle which is a bit lighter and it’s supposed to be the “powder core” which is what essentially keeps your skin from becoming oily throughout the day. I find that it glides on really well and blends well with the moisturizer on my skin and covers my dark spots pretty effectively without even needing concealer.
For my day to day look, I use this foundation stick along with my Purminerals 4-in-1 to create a flawless finish. I have noticed that layering these two products provides the best, non-cakey surface for my skin. It looks natural and fresh, but not so light that it won’t cover up blemishes.
The foundation lasts me through the entire day without reapplication or touch ups. The powder core really does work in keeping my skin matte through the day, but I do use my Purminerals 4-in-1 for extra coverage when I need it. The staying power of this foundation still amazes me because it will literally be on the entire day, fully intact until I come home and remove my makeup.

Do I Recommend Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation?
Definitely yes, this is my go-to foundation since I discovered it over the summer. I really didn’t expect such great coverage from a drugstore brand, but I think it’s safe to say that this is comparable with my Smashbox Liquid Halo in terms of coverage. I would recommend this to anyone who can find it at a drugstore. This stuff if honestly amazing for an everyday type of medium coverage.
Would I Repurchase Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation?
I will definitely be repurchasing these in bulk for me and a few friends when I go home for the summer. Everyone has been super excited to try it and I will definitely be sticking to this foundation for a while.
