Maybelline Newyork has launched Lip Smooth Color and Care Balm with SPF 16. They are tinted lip balm and are available in 6 variants .
Price Rs 99 for 4.5 gm
These remind me of Maybelline lip smoothies. 
Claims : revitalizes dull and dry lips, gives moisturizing shine , softens and smooths lips. It has jojoba oil, safflower seed oil and Vitamin E.
These are tinted lip balms so they have very slight hint of colour and are nicely flavoured. I picked up one for myself . They were too cute to resist. 
All of them have a mild strawberry flavour , they are just tinted differently.

Strawberry : This lip balm has a dolly pink tint.

Rose Red : A red tinted lip balm. reminds of Nivea starfruits lip balm in strawberry.

Mandarin: It is a soft orangey tinted lip balm. I got this one for myself.

Dolly Rose : This lip balm looks very similar to the strawberry one. Just this I found that dolly rose is more fresher and brighter looking.

Maybelline has also launched Eye and lip makeup remover. It is for Rs 125 for 40 ml. I went to purchase the Lakme makeup remover but bought this instead. Just a timely release. 
Yet to try this one. I don’t remember if Maybelline has any makeup remover prior to this.. :-/

I am soooo loving the Maybelline lip balm. It gives a nice shine and a hint of color on lips. It doesn’t feel waxy at all . I think I will pick up one more. And 99 is not a bad price no?
Anyway I’ll update you about both the products in a few days.

he he . you must pick up the lip balm. they are cute and very smooth.
The only thing is that the makeup remover bottle is very tiny. So I guess I’ll finish it up soon. Will review soon.

he he , i thought it would be orangey flavoured but later realized that there is only difference in the tint shade not the flavour. These are good.

The lip balms have already gone into my wish list. Rati, are they glossy? I like the Lotus ones that give you a little tint but without an over the top glossy effect. Looking forward to the makeup remover review too. As for now, it’s a tie between this one and the one from Revlon in my wish list ..
Sonal, not too glossy. Just shiny. I still have to see how they look in day light I’ll let you know then.
No waxy feeling, no OTT flavour, a hint of colour and just fine.
I used to love Nivea starshine lip balms for their flavours but they did nothing to my chapped lips.

Now as the weather is getting colder , my lips get a little chapped once in a while. I have to see the effect on those days especially.
So far so good.
How is the stint with MAC going on?
Thanks Rati, I just recently bought a Nivea lip care chapstick (the dark blue one) and I must say I’m terribly missing my Lotus lip balm in cherry. I don’t want to use Lotus anymore because even after finishing a whole stick of that lip balm I’m still quite skeptical about the safety of the (un)known ingredients in it. That was my near HG lip balm.
The Nivea one I think is too glossy, too thick and leaves a white film on the lips after a few hours which you have to scrape off. Also, it leaves my lips dry to the point of chapping after it wears off. I never saw these problems with Lotus.
I hope Maybelline has the solution to that. 
Yeah, it’ll be awesome to know how well Maybelline works as a lip balm as such. Abhi Clinique, party makeup etc. ki posts aa rahi hein. My mind is buzzing with so much that I want to write about. I’ve been making full sentences in my mind about what I want to write in this post, that post..;)
Sonal, the nivea one had a great flavour and that’s about it. I used to love the strawberry one , it was too tempting. Would never repurchase Nivea lip balms because what is the point of using a lip balm if it does not heal your lips. I never faced such major problem as you faced but i kinda got irritated using it after a point of time.
Yeah Lotus just lists the main ingredients but never faced any problem using their lip balms. Infact they have always helped in healing my chapped lips.
I hope maybelline ones are good.

I’m worried about the long term hazards of ingesting the mysterious SPF15 ingredient in the Lotus lip balms. Yeah, I’m paranoid that way. :hypnotized: But otherwise they work very well. Ditto about Nivea.

They all look tempting…I think I will pick up the coral one..how does it look??My MAC lip balm is going to finish soon…it is fabulous..will definately buy it again..but it wont hurt to have a sidekick as well..so maybelline!!
he he very slight orangish. barely there tint kinds. MAC has a better tint but that for painful 870 as well.

Hi Rati…Thanks for this post. The Nivea lip balms I have don’t do anything for my lips, now I’m using the Neutrogena lip balm and I find it quite good. I must check these out & the makeup remover too.
You know I was sooo curious to check out the lakme makeup remover but when I saw this cute bottle I forgot.
I have heard good words about neutrogena but I always forget to pick this up. I am yet to say much about these balms. They are just little fun things around, so far.

The lip balms look just like Maybelline Lipsmooth…I used to get withdrawl symptoms after my last lip smooth finished..
I am aching to buy strawberry and cranberry.

:-* am a fan of nivea tinted balms, though they dont help much for chapped lips, the tints are fab-my fav are strawberry n pomegranate.really wanna see how that orange shade of maybelline will look on lips…

i have had the most bad experience with the packaging of this lip balm stick , the rotator didnt work properly and the balm didnt move up and down …what a waste :headbang:
