But I don’t blame myself entirely as cosmetic brands keep coming up with amazing products every now and then, and after all IMBBans are makeup junkies. 😀 How can we resist ourselves ? Undefine the rules of color with Color Blur cream matte pencil and blurring smudger. The cream matte pencil feels extremely smooth and comfortable on lips while the blurring smudger means you can create your own looks from full-on bold to softly blurred. Color Blur comes in 10 shades ranging from vivids to neutrals.

My Experience with Maybelline Lip Studio Cherry Cherry Bang Bang Color Blur Cream Matte Pencil and Smudger:

Packaging:
Maybelline has come up with amazing concept of smudging and blurring the color on lips and has made the unique double ended tube. It has lip crayon on one side, and other side has a smudger which is supposedly made up of rubber. Maybelline is spreading the Korean and Japanese idea of lip color application to US,  but it is still not available India. The shade number and name are printed on the tube itself. Maybelline has done pretty good with the name of these lippies too.

Texture:
It has phenomenal texture which is super creamy and pigmented. It glides like butter on lips and due to which the lip crayon is very fragile in nature. It tends to break, if not applied carefully.

Pigmentation:
These lippies are superbly pigmented as one swipe gives complete opacity no matter how pigmented the lips are. I have quite pigmented lips and do not find the need to apply a second coat of lipstick.

Efficacy:
I love lip pencils and lip crayons more than regular twist up lipsticks. Mostly lip crayons are not pocket friendly but due to precise tip of these crayons, the application becomes easy. Cherry Cherry Bang Bang is a very unique and attractive name, and so is the color. It is a very pretty blue toned red shade which enhances my complexion as well. I really appreciate every bit of these lippies but don’t find the smudger useful as I like full on color on my lips more; it may be fascinating to some though. The smudger is easy and comfortable to use.

The smudger can be good for those who love to have just a hint of color on lips and is great for college girls. The lipstick is so creamy to work with that while smudging it, it doesn’t tug the lips and give us enough time to work before setting. Due to its creamy texture, it keeps my lips hydrated for hours after which dry patches begin to appear on my lips.

Longevity:
Longevity has always been my concern when it comes to lip colors, and it really makes me happy with its performance. The best part is that once it sets, it transfers minimally. It stays for 6 hours with eating and drinking. It fades slightly from the centre of my lips after a meal but most of the part remains intact. It fades completely after 8 hours, but leaves a prominent stain.

• Doesn’t keep lips hydrated for good amount of time
• Availability in India
• Quantity of the product is very less in terms of price paid
• Smudger is not useful for those who prefer very potent lip color
