A few days ago, I had reviewed the shade C001 from Maybelline Lip Flush Colorsensational Lipstick Range. Today, I am reviewing one more shade “OR1” from the same range. Read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Maybelline OR1 Color Sensational Lip Flush Lipstick:
The packaging of the lipstick is beautiful. It comes in a rectangular-shaped tube wrapped in a cellophane paper bearing the product description, ingredients list, etc. The tube has a mirror finish and it closes with a long plastic cap.
The color of the cap is similar to the shade of the lipstick and it has silver detailing on it. The brand’s tagline is embossed on the cap in simple fonts. The base of the tube bears a color-coded sticker showing the shade number. There is no shade name given to these lipsticks. The cap shuts tightly and does not slip off while carrying around. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.
“OR1” as its name suggests, is a derivative of orange with slightly brownish hue. This is not a striking orange shade and this makes it pretty wearable. It looks beautiful on the lips. The lipstick does not contain any shimmer or glitter. This shade is great for everyday use also. I usually refrain from buying orange lip colors as I do not use it much, but this is a very pretty orange that is easy to carry.
It has a soft glossy sheen to it, which becomes dull with time and only a sheer wash of color can be seen on the lips. This is a sheer lipstick and it has a decent amount of pigmentation that a sheer lipstick must have. So, you can really not expect high opaque coverage. I have mildly pigmented lips and this lipstick is capable of hiding all that pigmentation and looks even on the lips. But, it may not be able to cover extremely pigmented lips. Unlike other Maybelline lipsticks, this range is absolutely fragrance free. It does not have any taste and smell.
The texture of the lipstick is super smooth and creamy almost like a lip balm. It glides all over the lips like a dream and does not cause any tugging or pulling of the lips. The lipstick is very creamy and moisturizing. It does not cling to the dry patches of the lips. The color does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. It needs to be layered on to get good coverage and still it does not feel heavy or waxy on the lips. The application is very smooth because of the creamy consistency.
The formula is very hydrating and my lips never feel dry with this lipstick on. I am totally in love with the texture of these lipsticks. These are so moisturizing and nourishing that my lips never feel dry with this lipstick on my lips. The creamy formula of the lipstick made it transfer a lot. As a result, it wipes off completely after having a full meal.
The lasting power is average being a sheer lip color. I expected it to last slightly longer. The color lasts for some 3 hours on my lips. In the mean time, the glossiness of the lipstick goes away. Overall, this is nice orange lipstick for everyday use. If you want to try orange lip color without having the fear of looking over the top, you may definitely include this one to your vanity. But, I personally do not appreciate it much as the finish this lipstick gives is almost similar to my orange lip balms.
