I have already reviewed the shades C001, OR1 and RD01 from Maybelline Lip Flush Colorsensational Range. Today, I will be wrapping up this range with the final shade called “RD02”. Read on to know how it fared for me:

My Experience with Maybelline RD02 Color Sensational Lip Flush Lipstick:
The packaging of the lipstick is beautiful. It comes in a rectangular shaped tube wrapped in a cellophane paper bearing the product description, ingredients list, etc. The tube has a mirror finish and it closes with a long plastic cap.
The color of the cap is similar to the shade of the lipstick and it has silver detailing on it. The brand’s tagline is embossed on the cap in simple fonts. The cap shuts tightly and does not slip off while carrying around. The base of the tube bears a color-coded sticker showing the shade number. These lipsticks do not have any shade names. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.
“RD02” is a subtle cherry red color that comes out as a lovely reddish pink on the lips. The shade is not too bright and can be easily pulled off at any time of the day, be it for daytime wear or night. The sheer finish makes it fit for everyday use. I prefer using this lipstick on a regular basis to my college. The lipstick does not contain any shimmer or glitter. It has a lovely glossy sheen in it, but the down side is that the glossy finish becomes dull with time and only sheer color can be seen on the lips.
This is a sheer lipstick and it has a decent amount of pigmentation that a sheer lipstick must have. I have mildly pigmented lips and this lipstick is capable of hiding all that pigmentation and looks even on the lips, but it cannot cover extremely pigmented lips. So, you can really not expect high coverage or opaque finish from this entire range. This range is absolutely fragrance free unlike other Maybelline lipsticks. So, it is a yay for those who do not like fragrance in lipsticks.
The texture of the lipstick is super smooth and creamy. It feels so buttery, almost like a lip balm. It glides all over the lips like a dream and not cause any tugging or pulling. The lipstick is very creamy and does not cling to the dry patches of the lips. The color does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. It needs to be layered on to get good coverage and still does not feel heavy or waxy on the lips, but I would not say that it feels like nothing, it feels that I had put on something on my lips.
The application is very smooth because of the creamy consistency. The formula is very hydrating and my lips never feel dry with this lipstick on my lips. I am totally in love with the texture of this lipstick. These are so moisturizing and nourishing that my lips never feel dry or flaky, but the creamy formula of the lipstick makes it prone to transfer a lot. As a result, it wipes off completely even with continuous sipping or even little snacking.
The lasting power is average. I expected it to last slightly longer. The color lasts for some 2.5-3 hours on my lips. In the mean time, the glossiness of the lipstick goes away. Overall, I feel that the product could have a better staying power.
