How have you all been? How has the winter been treating you all? Are you guys enjoying the hot cups of coffee and cold breezy weather or snuggling in blankets, because you have caught cold? But yes one thing common in all, IMBB with all such beautiful reviews will always keep you awakened. I have come up with the range I always wanted to try out. I ordered this lipstick for my mom as she wears browns in her normal routine and wanted to test it, if worked good I would get some cute shades for me too. Let’s see how this brownie shade faired us.

My Experience With Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hr Lipstick-Consistently Truffle:

The Superstay Range has a variety of colours to choose from. There is a shade for each person out there on the shelves! The name super stay is good enough to convince us to buy these. As more than anything we want a lip color that would stay for a longer time; something that wouldn’t wipe out when you biting a sandwich or having a cup of coffee. It is exactly what we need.

The packaging is decent and looks good and different than the other Maybelline lip colors. The upper portion is white that is the cap and the bottom half exactly resembles the shade of the lip color. Hence it becomes easy to identify if we have a few of these in the vanity.

The bullet is pretty and smooth enough on the lips. It has some shiny particles; don’t know whether to call them shimmers because they are pretty small in size. But visible enough to see on the bullet. The shimmers don’t appear when you apply It on the lips; it just gives the lip a nice glow. The shade is a perfect brown for ladies who are more into browns. The shade is actually the same like the truffle cake; it has that dark brown touch to it but does not look dangerous or vampy at all. The name always gives me a temptation to have a creamy yummy chocolate truffle cake! It has a minute frosty look; but not that frosty that we won’t be able to carry it.

It has a semi-matte finish; at the very beginning when applied it look little glossy but soon it settles down to give a matte look. Matte lipsticks are always the one which last longer so I was happy. What I liked about this brown is that it does not let the lips look aged or dull unlike some browns. After a while, I started feeling that there is nothing on my lips, no heaviness at all. The shade is something that I preferable won’t love to wear. I want that younger look which of course this brown cannot give me. But I think this shade is perfect for moms to achieve that mature sophisticated look. Also it has good shades for office goers and this may last till the time you are in office.

Just one swipe and done for the day. It stayed on my lips for more than 7 hours and then I removed it myself lol. It also looks gorgeous with a gloss. The fragrance that the bullet gives is a really good one with a burst of mixed fruits; it smells like candies. But what I noticed was after a while, my lips felt a bit dry. So that was the only issue with this. It doesn’t completely vanish, it always leaves a stain indicating that there is something on the lips still.

My mom loved it a lot and considers it good for daily wear whenever she has to go out. The only con that she faced was the dryness similar like me. Rest, this lipstick is an amazing one, does whatever we expect from a lipstick and lasts super long.

• The packaging is convenient and has the shade color at the bottom half so easy to identify in the lot
• Available everywhere
• It is a nice stunning brown shade which a semi-matte finish
• It is great for mature look which looks decent and sophisticated
• Great shade to have in the vanity for ladies above 40; suits office goers too for daily wear
• It smells like a mixed fruit candy and the smell stays for long
• The lip color becomes matte after a while and doesn’t feel heavy at all
• It does not settle into fine lines or bleed
• Such browns normally make my lips look pale and lifeless; but this did not it has a glow with it
• It stays on for a very long time

Cons Of Maybelline Super 14 Hr Lipstick-Consistently Truffle:

• The lips may start feeling dry after a while
• It looks a bit frosty to me
• I feel it is not a versatile shade; won’t look good on the younger aged girls
• Price is a bit expensive

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline Super 14 Hr Lipstick-Consistently Truffle?

Not sure about me although I will definitely try some other shades that I prefer probably pinks or corals. But mom loved this and might get this again too till the time she finds a competitor.

Conclusion: Long lasting lipsticks are always great when we go to some social functions, because the clothes always look gorgeous but somehow the make-up doesn’t stay long enough as expected. But this will fair out there! Certainly my first preference when I want some that will last long with a good pigmented color.
