Mikyajy Tempting Treats Groovy Compacts Review

Today, I will be reviewing a makeup set from Mikyajy. Mikyajy is a middle-east cosmetic brand that has various products like lipsticks, brushes, eyeshadows etc.

 

My take on Mikyajy Tempting Treats Groovy Compacts:

My brother works in the middle-east and like most loving brothers he asked me what I wanted; obviously I was going to ask him for some make up stuff so I asked him to get me eyeshadows. When he arrived home, he gave me this big black box with pretty flowers on it. When I opened it I was so delighted to see this beautiful makeup set with so many eyeshadows, blushes and lip glosses. I really like the glossy black box packaging with pretty flowers on it. The set contains 84 eyeshadows, 60 lip glosses, 8 blushes, 4 concealers and 4 matte eyeshadows with 3 brushes. Two brushes are dual ended with one side eyeshadow applicator and one side lip brush and one is a blush brush. The pigmentation and texture of each eyeshadow varies depending on each colour some are easy to apply, some have a good colour pay off while others are not very pigmented and some produce a lot of fall out.

I would say the darker colors are nicely pigmented but the lighter colors are less pigmented. The eyeshadows give a long wear of up to about 8 hours and last longer if you use a primer. The lip glosses are all pigmented with a good texture but are not long lasting, the wear for about 3-4 hours. They do not cause drying of lips. The colours of the blushes are flattering for all skin types have a very smooth texture and are not powdery which give a very natural blush on the cheeks. Two of the blushes can also be use as highlighters. There are 4 concealers which give a good coverage but can only be used for blemishes and not for under eyes because it creases even after setting with a powder. The 4 matte eyeshadows are also pigmented and can be used for the crease or as an eyebrow powder. I wish there were more matte eyeshadows available because I prefer matte eyeshadows over shimmer eyeshadows. The 2 dual brushes work well with using the eyeshadows and lip glosses but the blush brush is totally useless. The makeup set has a decent sized mirror and the packaging is very sturdy but cannot be carried while travelling.

• Blush colors flattering for most skin tones
• Concealers give a good coverage
• Good texture of lip glosses and blushes

Cons of Mikyajy Tempting Treats Groovy Compacts:

• Some eyeshadows less pigmented
• Fallout from some eyeshadows
• Could have had more matte eyeshadows
• Not travel-friendly
• Lip glosses give a 3-4 hour wear
• Blush brush is not very usable

Conclusion on Mikyajy Tempting Treats Groovy Compacts:
This makeup kit is a good personal purchase and a good gifting option too. There are 84 eyeshadows so you can create a lot of eye looks for different occasions. The lip glosses and blushes also have a good selection. With just one purchase you can have almost everything to create a make-up look. The lip glosses are pigmented and have a good texture. With more of matte eyeshadows, I think I would have loved it even more.
