Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow – 09 Bella Navy Review

I recently picked up a few more eyeshadows and went for a completely new range. I didn’t really go through any YouTube reviews or anything before I decided to buy the Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows because the colours and packaging captivated me. Another thing that caught my attention was the “Gel Powder” thing. I picked up three shades to try out and here is my review for the Bella Navy eyeshadow.

My Experience with Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow – 09 Bella Navy:

Packaging:
The bronze and gold packing is extremely cute. Even though it is plastic, it looks nice. You can actually put these in an open shelf in your vanity for decoration. The best thing is that these eyeshadows are small and travel friendly too.

Texture:
Bella Navy has smoother texture compared to the other shades I own – Bella Khaki and Bella Emerald. The shade is soft, buttery and feels creamy which is incredible. This is as good as any high end eyeshadows I have tried.

Pigmentation:
Bella Navy is a rich blue true navy colour and it is highly pigmented. You can easily go wrong with this shade if you end up using too much product.

Performance:
Bella Navy is my favourite shade because I love this colour a lot. It has a satin matte finish and if you use a wet brush, then it looks quite metallic. The packaging, colour, shade and texture are incredible of these eyeshadows, but they are not quite long wearing. I did not use any primer because I wanted to test the product and this eyeshadow stayed only for barely 5 hours on my oily lids. By the 4th hour, I could see the colour fading away. Bella Navy is also a little chalky compared to the other two shades I purchased. Maybe it is a matte shade that’s why, but it is a little chalky.

I do not have any issues with this fact because almost every eyeshadow is a little chalky. The other bad thing is that you need a synthetic brush or you must use your finger to apply this shade. Make sure you use the finger otherwise it will not show up enough on your lids. Also, if you want that true navy shade to show up on the eyelids, like in the pot, then use a little finishing spray to enhance it. Other than this, I am pretty satisfied with this eyeshadow.
