Milani Rose Femme Color Statement Lipstick Review

Milani Color Statement lipstick range is a nice affordable range of lipsticks which has been around for some time now. This range has more than 30 shades and quite a few shades have been already on IMBB (Sangria, Rose Amour, Raspberry Rush, etc). Today, I am reviewing the shade “Rose Femme.” Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Milani Rose Femme Color Statement Lipstick:

Packaging: This lipstick comes in a beautiful gold packaging with a band at the bottom matching the color of the lipstick. The cap shuts tight and there is no danger of the cap coming off loose. Even though the packaging is quite simple, it looks classy and doesn’t feel flimsy at all.

Shade: “Rose Femme” is a gorgeous mauve brown shade. It is a lovely delicate dusky shade. This shade could be a MLBB for a lot of skin tones. I personally like it too as it is a shade quite apt for office wear.  The pigmentation of the lipstick is quite strong. One swipe is enough to get a lovely opaque finish. Multiple swipes does not make the application patchy.

Texture/Finish/Pigmentation:  The texture of the lipstick is quite creamy and applies smoothly with no tugs at all. In fact, the lipstick is too creamy and there is a danger of the bullet melting in hot weather.  The lipstick feels very comfortable and lightweight on the lips. It does not dry out the lips at all and feels quite moisturizing. It does not settle into lip lines or highlight any dry patches. It does not need any lip balm underneath and this is a formula which dry lipped beauties can wear comfortably too.

The lipstick has a gorgeous crème finish with a slight sheen.  The lipstick does transfer and the staying power is not all that great; the lipstick stays on me for around 4 hours depending upon what I am eating. This is expected from a lipstick that is this creamy.

This particular shade has a watermelon fragrance which I personally do not like. But the good part is that it does not stay for too long. However, sensitive noses will not find it appealing at all.

Pros of Milani Rose Femme Color Statement Lipstick:

• Decent pigmentation.
• Lovely creamy texture.
• Beautiful crème finish.
• Does not feel drying.
• Classy packaging.
• Very affordable.

Cons of Milani Rose Femme Color Statement Lipstick:

• Lipstick does transfer.
• Staying power is average.
• Some may not like the strong watermelon fragrance.
• Lipstick can melt in hot weather.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Milani Rose Femme Color Statement Lipstick?
The formula of this lipstick is pretty good for 6 dollars. I would surely recommend you to try it out if you like the shade.  I will not repurchase the exact same shade but do possess other shades from this range.
