Milk Makeup Oil Lip Stain – Tude Review

Hope all of you are doing fine; I am also enjoying fasting as it will help me in detoxifying not only my internal system but overall health as well. I see that whenever I thrive on exclusive vegetables and fruit diet, my skin starts glowing from within while I feel significant reduction in my inches around waist and tummy, not to forget I feel more energetic and active as well. So in short, navratre are best days in the whole year for me and family to improve and purify our mind, soul and body! Anyways let’s talk about my today’s review product which comes from Milk Makeup. Oil lip stain is not a new concept; we see many leading drugstore brands launching these tinted lip oils in market. So let’s read how this product fared.

What it is:
A long-wearing lip stain with mess-free application for hydrating color and shine.

What it does:
Get high-shine lip color with Milk Makeup’s Oil Lip Stain. Loaded with nourishing vitamin E, rosemary extract, and black currant and olive oils, it deeply moisturizes and sets into lips for an enduring tint of color. It has an easy-to-use, rollerball applicator, and it can be layered to intensify your lip look.

Ingredients: Diisostearyl Malate, Triethylhexanoin, Octyldodecanol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dextrin Palmitate, Red 28, Capryly Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Red 27, 1,2-Hexanediol, Red 6, Diisostearyl Malate, Triethylhexanoin, Octyldodecanol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dextrin Palmitate, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Red 27, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Red 28.

My Experience with Milk Makeup Oil Lip Stain – Tude:

The lip stain comes in ordinary demi-opaque thick and sturdy plastic tube packaging with a rollerball applicator tip and twist over cap. The tube is nicely housed inside another plastic tube pack which is pretty interesting. It does have a mild fragrance which is fine for me.

The shade “Tude” is defined as red tint oil stain though it comes up blue based translucent pink on lips. I see that both “Tude” and “Vibes” come up almost similar on lips; hence I don’t think I would love to get its sibling anytime.

Anyways these oil stains remind me of YSL Volupte tint in oil; I own the shade “Cherry my Cherie” which looks way similar to this Tude. And they have a lot of things in similarity except the fact that I find the packaging of YSL more user friendly (it has a sponge tip applicator like gloss tubes) than this roller ball which takes hell lot of strength to squeeze out juice out of that tube. Considering the product is runny in consistency, a gloss applicator would have done the job better and faster rather than keeping on squeezing out oil and then taking additional minutes rubbing the ball on lips. Pheww!

Coming over to the lip oil, it has a slippery oily texture which glides easily on my normal dry lips though I need few generous strokes to build up color on lips. I think it feels better than a glossy stain; at least it does not seem tacky or sticky on lips but I am not fan of that slippery finish as well. I mean the oil stain provides oily slippery finish on lips with subtle stain which seems too sheer for my liking while layering on might be tricky with that way oily finish. However, the oil soon fades onto subtle shine and sheer stain which stays put for good hours. Honestly, I was not impressed with this stain initially until I realized that it provides that long lasting soft sheer pink stain on lips which looks so natural and pretty on its own, not to forget it does conceal mild pigmentation. I have natural faint pink lips with mild pigmentation and I see that the stain amplifies my natural lip color hiding those patches; they do look naturally pink so I am impressed.

The good thing is it does not settle in lip lines or dry patches as I feel pretty even tone and smooth finish on lips once the oil fades. In fact my lips do not feel overtly dry or irritated with this oil; hence I believe this product can work well on mild dry lips, but it won’t treat or heal chapped lips. I see that the oily texture of stain melts my flaky dry patches and hence once it settles down I don’t see any flakiness in finish which is something to talk about. I feel pretty soft pink lips for good 5-6 hours after which soft sheen is still visible on lips but I need additional moisture for dry lips.

Over all, I feel that oil stain seems interesting and feasible for normal dry lips but don’t expect any coverage and intense moisture from this product. If I need a subtle soft natural tint on lips then I would rather apply fresh crushed rose petals along with vitamin e oil or IMBB has tons of posts on same so why to invest 18 bucks when we can easily get rosy lips with DIYs :P. You can either save your efforts or bucks and choice is yours :D. I would rather save my bucks because natural recipes are way better and give permanent results than this tint.

Pros of Milk Makeup Oil Lip Stain – Tude:

• A decent moisturizing soft pink stain.
• Infused with vitamin e, rosemary extract, olive oil etc.
• It provides non-sticky oily finish to lips.
• The oily finish soon fades onto soft pink stain on lips.
• The stain stays on for good 5-6 hours alone.
• It provides decent hydration to lips.
• It does not settle in lip crevices or dry patches.
• It neither feels overtly dry nor intense moisturizing on my lips.
• Prevents minor dryness and hides mild pigmented lips easily.
• It won’t aggravate or accentuate dry lip issues.

Cons of Milk Makeup Oil Lip Stain – Tude:

• Too sheer for my liking.
• Not suitable for chapped, dry lips.
• It does not feel intense moisturizing as per claims.
• Pricey for a subtle tint stain.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Milk Makeup Oil Lip Stain – Tude?
I might not get it again because I am more into bold, bright and/or glossy juicy lips (I am running in 30s, a bold, beautiful yet matured age group to move over tinted balms and oils :P). I can imagine my teen self wearing this stain to college or schools; I would recommend it to every beauty especially young gals who are taking their baby steps in makeup world.
